  1. It was David Preece, who I don't mind too much usually but aye that particular story got away from him a bit. Hongisteins a bit of a knob as well mind, him and Laurens are good examples of people who live in bubbles and just don't understand normal football fandom anymore, Rafa struggled last week to get close to understanding that idea that performing well and finishing higher up the league if you aren't neccessarily going to win it actually matters to people who support teams that don't just always win the league like his team do. Cox, Wilson, Horncastle, the opta guy and the finances guy are all good, finance guy particularly offers something no one else does in that he understands how agents/transfers/takeovers etc work. Seems to think theres a good shout of us being bought this summer and that absolutely no one wants anywhere near sunderland, so I like him. Always liked Iain Macintosh as well but he doesn't appear on the regular TFS anymore as he does the football league show
  2. To be fair I think "Signing of the season" has to be taken with the consideration that the January window hadn't happened. Of our summer signings I think Lejeune is a fair call, he's been really good alongside Lascelles lately.
  3. Tell him I like him, I'm sure it'll make his day.
  4. The Football Ramble and On The Continent are consistently the best two pods going for me. Don't quite take themselves as seriously as the others do and are far better for it. the TFS has such a range of pundits that sometimes its really good but others its just shite.
  5. The totally football show has been shite lately, Pat Nevin and Julien Laurens on the same podcast this week Pat Nevin hitting us with the wisdom that whoever replaces Iniesta at barca probably won't be as good as him and then pausing for effect like we're all supposed to be surprised that one of the most gifted midfielders to have ever played the game won't be immediately replaced by someone as good. Julien Laurens is hard to bear at the best of times but generally just his usual self, insightless whining.
  6. I've seen a lot of "outrage" over Ederson pushing mane about a bit, nailed on the same people who were defending manes right to wang his studs into edersons face a few months back.
  7. He's got you all in again. Every time.
  8. Ref seems to think its his time to shine, any player who's even looked at him booked, Guardiola sent to the stands and a glaringly wrong offside call keeping it 1-0
  9. Mane leaving his studs up on Otamendi and Ederson going nuts at him, naturally given their previous encounter
  10. That was class, Van Dijk getting knocked over by sterling and just standing there with his arms out rather than getting back into position whilst sterling takes off and sets it up. God I hope they do it, it'd be hilarious
  11. This one could be fun, their defence is nervy as fuck, Mustafi is garbage. Plenty of work for ours in keeping them quiet though, Aubameyang has scored 6 in 7 and Ozil is in good form. I'd love to see a similar performance as Leicester, that sort of commitment and aggression could potentially see us win quite comfortably
  12. He's not a wingback though really and he's certainly not getting in ahead of Hazard. He's only starting for Chelsea regularly if they lose out on some good players and don't replace them which I think is unlikely, if Willian or Hazard were to leave for the money they ought to they'll surely spend rather than replace with Ken.
  13. Cheers, there's a lot to do between now and then, VISAs are a bit confusing but it's going alright so far. Whats it like following an English team from a 12 hour time difference away? Are PL games still only available through the likes of Sky, PL Pass was an NZ thing wasn't it?
  14. I do wonder if the penny is starting to drop with some players, hopefully Kenedy has learned from his time at Chelsea that being at a club where you play regularly is better than sitting on the bench or being a reserve, if he goes to PSG or wherever he'll not exactly be getting in ahead of Neymar or Mbappe. I know Man City are starting to lose players like Jadon Sancho to Dortmund and whatnot because they know its their best opportunity to develop and play first team football, considering the wages that lower PL clubs can offer now especially perhaps we'll see the "top" clubs ability to just hold onto buckets of players start to fade away a bit.
  15. I really enjoy seeing that peter schmeichel tweet every few weeks.
  16. Funny how we’ve shot up the table since mitros disruptive influence was shipped out of the club innit?
  17. 3 points behind Everton with a better goal difference and a game in hand.
  18. I like Kenedy, we've no one else in the squad who plays the way he does, the flick to buy some space on that counter was ace.
  19. Stop being reasonable, Maguire has to be off and Mahrez should've been booked.
