  1. Its Canterbury anniversary day here tomorrow, so I'm off work but it seems like an absolute crapshoot as to whether other places are open or not. So with any luck I'm heading to a parts picker scrapyard tomorrow that has a few written of BMWs that should be compatible with my own to pick up some of the bits I want to replace for cheap. Wish me luck, 'cause I have no fucking idea what I'm doing
  2. Good on her but as you say, its a pisstake that good people have to game the system in order to give victims of horrible crimes a bit of peace.
  3. Yeah, it is one of the best and clearest differences about living here compared to the UK, space. Theres an absolute abundance of it here so detached, garages and all that is the expectation in the burbs. That said, there is a massive bubble powered by landlords here so prices are absolutely insane.
  4. Would you suggest mowing the perennials? We've got a bloke who comes to do the lawns every couple of weeks, they are immaculate tyvm.
  5. 😎😎😎😎😎😎 Finally home (after waiting one day...) few bits and bats to fix before I need to think about mods. Definitely need to get car play installed in very short order.
  6. CT has evolved beyond the need for "food"
  7. 130i was fucking brilliant, absolutely immaculate everywhere that matters as well. Picking it up this week!
  8. Had a look at a couple of things today, nothing really floating my boat. Going to look at a BMW 130i tomorrow which (if its in decent nick) I think will be the one
  9. We can get down the aves on Friday night and race the lights. Aye most of the cars we've had here have been imports, the really interesting JDM stuff has been absolutely skyrocketing in price the last few years sadly.
  10. Bit too expensive, that engine is in quite a lot of cars though and was mostly why I loved that car so I've a few skylines on my watchlist currently to see how they go.
  11. Definitely could be. Alas that was the end of my favourite car (so far).
  12. I briefly had a nissan badge shaped mark on my arm from the steering wheel airbag going off and smashing the cover of the wheel into my arm. But otherwise nope, I went into his driver door at 50kmh (honest officer) and we both walked away, other bloke was in his 80s.
  13. Today also marks a year since my beloved Nissan Fuga bit the bullet courtesy of an old man not stopping at a junction. Can't remember if I ever shared pictures here, if I did it wasn't in this thread. I fucking loved this car, my Mercs fine but a bit dull.
  14. Out heres a totally different market, the prices for cars and for parts bears pretty much no resemblance to the UK.
  15. Well I'm certainly not getting an electric
  16. For the first time in my life I have the money to buy a fun/project car that won't be an absolute mess from the get go. And now I have option paralysis.
  17. Mind last year 12 points gets us to the playoff round, which is only one more win. We're looking good to progress.
  18. @The Fish Im going to go against the grain here and suggest not an acoustic, unless thats what he wants. If hes interested in music and in playing, get him something that /looks/ like the thing he wants to play. Squier make little strats that are perfectly good etc. They also play lighter than their acoustic counterparts which is good for little hands and I don't personally buy into the prescribed wisdom that you should learn on acoustic first. If he ends up not sticking with it you're going to lose money either way, make it cool and give it the best chance to stick.
  19. Marked or not that's a fucking unbelievable header. You'd be a pro if you could do that with your foot let alone your noggin!
  20. Ruben loftus cheek is shola ameobis half brother?
  21. I've sort of forgotten what its like to be completely disfunctional, I don't get it anymore. Even when we play poorly or get outplayed (thinking barca where we just couldn't touch their midfield) its clear to see our system and what we're trying to do. When we were shit it was because we had garbage managers and no player investment, how do clubs like liverpool and spurs look so poor? Franks a good coach, they've got good players on paper and then produce...whatever that was. Jurys out on whether Slots actually any good but they have legitimate world class talent at their disposal, half a billion quid on top of a title winning team but they look totally shit most of the time, just barely winning games on individual moments until those moments ran out.
