1. Thankfully not. 102280 Surely you jest, Bowie is the king. 102417 Bowie was an interesting artist in the early 70s. Still living off that hype I reckon. 102457 To me he is much more than that. He is a very significant influence on a whole host of musicians and bands of music I like. In the main, I like his music for its own sake too. For instance Life on Mars is a classic.
2. Similar posting style. 102461 Identical. FFS.
3. Whose going to get the 1000th post on this one?
4. Don't you just love J69's sanctimonious holier than thou preachings.
5. Now that is horribly ironic. RIP.
6. Put that into a Google image search and voila:
7. Going a bit o/t, but is anyone else getting a bit pissed off with Owen seemingly being only interested in England? TalkShite were doing my head in yesterday, saying he was too good for Newcastle and will be off like a shot in the summer. Apparently he doesn't owe us anything either. Really? I know a lot of this is tabloid shit stirring, but I can't help thinking he is the model professional that doesn't give a shit about Newcastle, whereas Bellmay was the reverse.
8. Yes. How is it amazing? 102206 Depends if you got where you needed to be on time without having to stand in a pool of spit while avoiding wannabe-hardman stares from random charvas. Germany tends to fare quite well in that respect, though you do get plenty of skull-and-crossbones beer-swillers and smelly fat women in exchange. 102209 Aye, it strikes me as good, but so do a lot of other places. Can be a bit confusing though as I found when I got a train heading to Krakow instead of my airport (this was Berlin btw). 102228 You probably blamed that mistake on the poor conductor too, did you? 102233 102236 When you got charged recently man! It was everyone's fault but yours, even though it was you that missed the train. 102243 Oh, I see. For the record I wasn't complaining about getting charged, just the sickening size of it. Still heard nowt like, fingers crossed. And in Germany I blame myself for not speaking German (although the train did have the airport name on it, but it was running the opposite way). Fortunatley my plane was delayed and I still made it....

10. I agree with that. A balanced view if I may say so.

12. IIRC Bellamy did start using this goal to defend the undefendible when he was sent off against Inter a few weeks later: "Well we wouldn't have been here if it wasn't for ME" etc. I'd love him to still play for us but recognise he is a complete arsehole, matched only by Dyer and Souness imo.
13. I think Local Authorities are pretty strict on Loft Conversions though, he's have to get the plans submitted and ok'd whatever happens. Something to do with how much room, support, and light there is up there if it's going to be used as a lived in room. I learnt this on Property Ladder, although I do spend the best part of an hour staring at Beeny's knockers so I may have misheard. 101834 Titnotism.
14. Still the best chairman we've had, with the best foresight. 101822 Exactly.
15. Mind what Hall did have was a quality LM greatly admires but Shepherd seems to be lacking in - foresight.
16. Wasn't Hall a Sunderland fan if anything? More keen on egg chasing tbh.
17. Aye, it was quite a sight to see him labouring out at SJP every day with that hod of bricks. No, but in all seriousness, I think it was Hall who had the foresight to expand the stadium into what it is today. Without spending a penny I might add.
18. Ledge. 101757 Who? 101760 He's a black man from a particularly hard family in Shields (our equivalent of the Tams from your way). Except unlike his siblings, he is a bit of a clown (meant in an unoffensive way), and talks to everyone he meets, like he's known them all his life. OK, I've said enough.
19. Collective groan when Johnny Decker gets on as everyone pretends to stare out the window to avoid eye contact.
20. Does anyone think Life on Mars was a bit like Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure?
21. I used to go from Whitley to Byker every day and it wasn't too bad, a couple of nutters on the tea time one back but no trouble that I saw. However, I imagine later on that part of the track is a bit tasty. 101722 I find the Shiremoor and meadowell sctions worst. Alex is lucky he gets off at Benton, people seem to mutate past that point.
22. Wasn't there an absoultely superb thread describing lots of revenge stories involving shit?
23. Well, you could describe it as a parody of the Sweeney, I suppose. Bit more to it than that though, or so I was hoping.
