  1. I think everyone assumed she was just lying to appease the 80,000. Turns out though, she really is a thick as pigshit sock puppet for the ERG.
  2. On the counter though these aren't tories as we'd have known them in previous years. Much like the GOP in the US, they have been eviscerated from within by a populist and his client media. I'm not sure they can come back from this, ever. I'm deperately hoping this can be a catalyst for constitutional change, I realise that probably won't happen.
  3. You'd hope so, but Johnson certainly masively reduced the "decent conservative" pool. One of the problems of ocurse is the sheer lack of competence on the tory benches or elsewhere. Think I heard the other day that three quarters of the tory parliamentary cunts have been on governement payroll since the 2019 election, partly because of leadership change but mainly because Johnson wanted to bribe people to stay loyal and massively increased the government size. The party is running out of stooges.
  4. I'm not that up on how parliament works, do these tax cuts have to be voted through parliament? Or is it an executive power. I had assumed the former. If so, is there a possibility they won't go through, given the shit they've already landed us in?
  5. Honestly, I've never understood why anybody gave this grifting cunt any attention. I've never read a word he's posted.
  6. As many as they can fit in. It really is like the mackems and their managers. And we know what happened there.
  7. I'm not sure the poundshop Thatcher will last until Christmas like. Then what? Another leadership race? Who will be in it, Johnson vs. Sunak? (I can see the latter's stock rising significantly because he did warn against this). Whatever happens, they are fucked in a GE but the question is what the damage will be by then. Christ I hate these cunts, I really do.
  8. I'll do Gemmill's twitter job for him since he's gibbering in the corner.
  9. Eating out of bins! Luxury! In my day........
  10. I'm bedwetting cos I think the country is utterly fucked no matter who is in charge now. BoE probably will be forced to intervene today, putting up interest rates and screwing people like me on variable mortgages and with large credit card debts. That could involve something like a 100bps or 150bps hike in interest rates (to 3.25%/3.75%), perhaps as soon as this morning. By bringing forward a lot of the policy tightening that might needed to have happened anyway, the Bank would demonstrate in no uncertain terms that whatever the government does it will ensure that inflation returns to 2%. This would go a long way to easing the crisis.
  11. Accidental or deliberate? Corruption or incompetence?
  12. This is depressing and apparently not newsworthy.
  13. Burnham has said he would introduce PR. Really hope this gains momentum [No pun intended there, I hear Streeting has renamed them inertia].
  14. Can't win with you lot. Newcastle are 2 up, but the final whistle hasn't gone. Put it this way, if its a marathon Labour is Paula Radcliffe and Truss is Jo Brand.
  15. And here. Note this is a 7k poll which greatly increases the certainty of the outcome. Truss is getting an inverse new leader bounce. Bedwetters of toontastic take heart!
  16. Every poll I've seen shows it's tye tories who should be the ones avoiding the Brexit issue. Meanwhile: But doing much worse in the red wall: And Starmer being human. I wish he'd go further and call Truss and cohort a bunch of cunts, but then I guess that would have a lot of Labour feminists frothing.
  17. The place is wasted on you. You should be banned.
  18. Are you going to some hillwalking whilst the weather is nice or what? I recommend a round trip of Derwent water via Catbells (pictured) and Lodore. Come back with some summit views.
  19. Have we said Braverman is a cunt enough yet? Anyway, she's a cunt.
  20. I think that's fair enough. The thing that most pisses me off is the weight given to vox pops. But anyway, all this is happening and STILL labour are way ahead in the polls. Maybe see the glass half full instead of half empty. Seems strange me saying this.
  21. Being a bit facetious tbh, but Starmer won't deliver what's needed imo. Which is complete constitutional reform.
