Don't know much about Harris, mainly because VP's do tend to be quiet in the background. From what little research I've done she is actually quite impressive. Obviously there is the question of her gender and race but you'd hope that will not be a negative factor for the majority of Americans, it's not about converting the Trumpaloompahs after all. Also kind of makes sense in a federalised system like the States. What doesn't make sense to me is the current two party hegemony. But again, not that much different from here really. In the US I believe a large proportion of the population are registered to a particular party so they can vote in the primaries, which is different. Also things like voter supression.
