  1. Btw, all the people who want a similar immigration policy to Australia's - why not just fuck off over there? Oh yes, that's because they wouldn't have you.
  2. Which has now been shown to be unrealistic. You probably aren't going to get what you think you voted for. Sinking in yet?
  3. I was making the point that no one who voted to leave knew what they were getting. However, I think it's also perfectly valid to point out that someone basically wanting things to remain very similar to how they were before the vote is making an illogical decision to vote to leave. Also, that was several months ago, wasn't it, CT? Not sure what your point it. I also fail to see how I'm portraying myself as a font of all knowing knowledge. I'm not at all. By the time the vote came around I was firmly in the Remain camp because there was far too much uncertainty around leaving the EU and I thought the real scare tactics were coming from that side too. It was also the side of the racists and that became clear too, especially with the Farage poster. That's not inferring you're a racist, CT. To be fair to you, I don't think you're prejudiced at all (well, everybody is to an extent, but you take my point). One of the reasons I was sceptical about both sides is because I don't think either makes the real problems of Neo Liberalism, establishment elitism or awful levels of inequality go away. But I do think leaving the EU could make those things even worse.
  4. You seem like you wanted, erm - how can I put it? "Business as usual", which hardly makes your vote a logical decision irrespective of the outcome. It's almost like you're contrary for the sake of it.
  5. Exactly. The Remain side were so complacent they didn't bother asking these pertinent questions. Still, it's hard to sympathise with people who trust Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage or The Sun to tell them the truth.
  6. You've completely missed the point, you half-wit
  7. Yes, like this one: you don't know what you voted for, do you?
  8. I meant does he know what he's going to get. It's rhetorical obviously. No one who voted leave was told what they were going to get in the event of it happening. Mos likely scenario looks like a grovelling act whereby very little changes except it'll probably cost more to have zero influence on EU decision making.
  9. CT, do you know what you voted for yet?
  10. The FA blaming the psychological preparation ffs. It's a factor but the lack of good, technically adept players is the real issue
  11. There was some wife on telly the other day, saying the country could be great in 20 years. She was 60 if she was a day. Basically willing to write off the last 20 years of her life on some nebulous idea of "making this country great again". Like it was ever great for anyone other than the elite, generally speaking.
  12. in fairness, when you change your mind as often as he does it's difficult to remember the point you were making whilst furiously searching for posts you think have proven you were previously correct.
  13. You constantly change your position on virtually everything. It's not even a matter of debate. That's what I was alluding to. I doubt anyone needed that explaining, bar you.
  14. You're claiming you were right about everything and ignoring all the stuff you've said wouldn't happen that has. Like Cameron standing down as PM, etc
  15. I wonder how often Boris Johnson is going to keep changing his view on all this. No wonder CT idolises him
  16. That's the sort of crack that got Adam Johnson into bother
  17. I still tend to think it's the idea of snap election that is the motivating factor but I agree it seems plausible.
  18. Would love to have seen that bloke kick the shit out of them
  19. Corbyn coming across as a nutter with nothing to lose now. Great ©
  20. There was some interesting (at the time, now a bit scary) analysis done by a site called Electoral Calculus prior to the last general election. I can't remember the exact figures but it demonstrated that something like 25% of the popular vote would see them getting no MPs but something like 30% could secure a majority. This is based on their vote being spread pretty evenly as opposed to the traditional parties. The site's pretty good. They predicted a hung Parliament based on the polls for the last GE but when they used the data the BBC got from its exit polls, they were correct to within less than 5 seats iirc.
