I think both Exeter and Newquay are ex-RAF. Might still be used a bit. But I’m not sure you can go to the latter from Newcastle. You used to be able to go from Teesside to Newquay. It’s different driving if you’re going for a fortnight but any less and it’s a hell of a long way to drive from up here.

Well I think he is quite a disturbed person sadly. Not that it excuses his views. As you alluded to, imagine being him then this becoming your obsession

You can fly to Exeter from Newcastle, or you could. Did it about 3 of 4 years ago

Haggerston Castle is fucking shit. There’s a falconry place next to it which is good but nothing to do with Haggerston Cadtle itself bar its proximity. There’s not even any easy direct access to the coast on foot despite it being about a mile and a half away. They do have the national bingo thingy and amusements if that’s your thing. We went for 3 nights and came home after 2. The one potential redeeming thing might’ve been the big indoor swimming pool. But the heating wasn’t working and after about 5 mins the bairns’ lips had literally turned blue I suppose being a magnet for bamps completely lacking in taste or any semblance of a clue has the virtue of those lot not being somewhere else.

He had an arrest warrant out for him and he was arrested when he re-entered the UK. Absolutely standard as with armed police at airports. Although I think Linehsn is tapped and has lost it and the usual cunty suspects like Musk and Rowling don’t give a fuck about him and are using him as he fits their own agendas in different ways.

I think the SAFC aficionados on RTG valued Jack Clarke at about double what he went for and I don’t think you could really say Ipswich got a bargain. Onion would probably be our 6th choice central defender

Points-wise I mean

Wouldn’t be surprised if this is about as far away from the relegation zone as they’ll be all season
-
So are they absolutely massive or just a feeder club at this point?

Newcastle Signing of the season: Woltemade Top goalscorer: Wissa Most assists: Gordon Biggest surprise: Big signing in January Best Young player: Hall Player of the season: Tonali PL finish: 5th Trophies? None League Champions: Chelsea Rest of the top 4: Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City Bottom 3: Wolves, Leeds, Sunderland Top scorer: Ekitike First Manager Sacked: Nuno Espírito Santo

Sold one of their best young players for a profit because that’s all they bought him for. Shrewd, yes. Classy? Erm, whatever Player recalled by their parent club? Yeah, and? And that’s it. That’s his proof they’re a classy and ethical outfit. Because they sold a player at the first opportunity and Chelsea exercised a clause which allowed them to get their own player back. Absolutely lapped up by the morons on RTG as well

Rarely has the phrase actions speak louder than words been more appropriate

I’m somewhere in the middle. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Flawed but interesting
-
Largely agree but by that same token you have to judge it in how the season pans out. I mean it doesn’t feel great at the minute if I’m being honest
-
Agreed. We needed someone like Wissa, ie able to hit the ground running anyway, as we’d gone for potential in Woltemade. Ok Wissa is older but he’s more mobile and a different type of striker to JSL. Like you point out Wolves said he couldn’t leave so you either have to take that at face value or pay upwards of £75m. Which negates the sell on value a fair bit for a player who isn’t likely to ever be in the elite bracket.

Yeah. If the deal really was on the table I think I’d have accepted it on balance

I think Beckham was there about 4 seasons and had one La Liga to show for it

I saw a clip of Carragher recently on that thing where him Neville, Keane, Jill Scott and Ian Wright pretend they’re having matey banter. The question was posed as to who was the most successful English player to have played abroad. He was very pleased with himself when he piped up with: John Charles

ACON probably the main factor. I think it starts before the January window opens. Might be allowed to leave in January once Wissa returns
-
The thing I would say in their defence is that they have a lot better idea of what was going on off the pitch than we do. The other thing is it’s really not worth getting your knickers in a twist about it

First XI is an outdated concept if you want to compete on multiple fronts. We’ve been scraping by and somehow winning a trophy and getting CL qualification (albeit now 5th gets you there). But Howe couldn’t have worked these miracles for ever. We were desperate for depth and now we have it.
-
Nice of him to kick off the Botman to Liverpool rumours this early. What a fucking pillock
-
Don’t do it to yourself, mate. As a few others have pointed out it’s basically a Liverpool fanzine at this point.
