  1. I doubt it. The PM is all about pointless, empty ‘grand’ gestures. Expect bullish language rather than substance
  2. I was pissing by your window, etc.
  3. I see some Tory MPs want the lockdown eased according to news reports. Do they need to be personally impacted by this to see the bigger picture? Fucking cunts
  4. Like that bit in Partridge when the bloke dies just after agreeing to give him a new series
  5. I’m assuming that’s a fake account but were he to buy them and make a right fucking pig’s ear out getting them into the top flight it would be sensational
  6. Aye, community clubs largely died out a long time ago but m, fuck me, the last 13 years has seen us become just about as removed from being that as it’s possible to be
  7. The funniest part is even the odious fat cunt probably wouldn’t go near them.
  8. He’s either just after likes or he’s a moron, or both. It could be a subtle wind up I suppose
  9. Re: Man City the ownership definitely didn’t bother me at all. I was a bit envious but that’s all. At the time the do-called elite needed a shake up and it did just that. I’ve probably thought about the human rights side of things much more for our proposed take over than other ones from the same part of the world. I think a lot of us on here have some reservations but are also finding the hypocrisy annoying and funny in equal measure. Mainly from the press. From the mackems it’s just funny. I.e. it’s ok for the Saudis to be a strategic ally we sell arms to. It was ok for Sheffield Utd. It was ok for Anthony Joshua and it was going to be fine for Man Utd etc
  10. I think a trek to Everest Base Camp would be as ambitious as I would get in that regard.
  11. I didn’t like the first 10 seconds of it

    Sir Bobby, man 💕💕💕
  13. Someone I know - NHS worker, Newcastle-based - has had persistent mild symptoms. They tested negative some time back but are concerned it was a false negative. They’ve had no joy trying to get another one through work so they checked the new government website to arrange one themselves. The nearest test they could get is in Penrith. If that’s the experience of a key worker in the NHS the perhaps the tests aren’t as readily available as you might be led to believe.
  14. Aye, it’s horrendously bad even if the figures weren’t being massaged. Over 10% of the officially recorded world wide deaths in the UK. I know that global figure won’t be accurate and I’m sceptical to say the least about the Chinese numbers, but it’s still an absolute disgrace.

I’ll do the euphemisms round here, if you don’t mind

    Beards

    Tom Cruise loves a beard
  17. I was inferring he might’ve been milking it with regard to his illness
  18. He must’ve seen the weather forecast

The best thing about this bread making craze is that there’s loads of bread in the supermarkets
  20. When does Johnson come back off his holidays btw?
  21. K2 doesn’t have the highest summit to death ratio iirc but it has the shortest season in terms of the window of opportunity for climbing it due to its position and isolation. The figures are also skewed somewhat by only the most capable climbers attempting it. So it’s not only their skill but their experience in terms of not attempting the final push for the summit. Whether that be because of conditions or the realisation they won’t make it. Also the final section on the main route, above the ‘Bottleneck’ is prone to having deep snow, making that final push all but impossible. I think it’s quite common for no one to summit in any given season
  22. The gear they used though. Tweed jackets and plus-fours
