Not quite. They’d just deport the kids too now irrespective of it going against the constitution

Probably no one at the other end of the phone. Witnessed a smoggie doing this once after I clocked his phone wasn’t even turned on despite him talking at length about how it was better when you had the Ridings in Yorkshire as you knew where you were then. Mind, this was straight after a Hawkwind gig so fuck knows what he was on. Later followed by his mate almost getting mowed down by the only car to drive past in about 5 minutes. He was admonished by phone man who said ‘Davey, man. You know you can’t cross roads’.

They seem very ‘NFC’ as my lass and her colleagues referred to them lot when she still worked at the Freeman Hospital. I.e. ‘normal for Carlisle’

Prison time, hopefully. The fact they’re denying the charges won’t go in their favour either.

I think he had a disabled child who attended the Percy Headley School for a while.

I used to live the next street down from there and yes, it’s an absolutely beautiful street, isn’t it? There’s a semi detached on the end which is huge. One is in lovely condition, owned by this old hippie type. Then next door there’s a one (ie the other semi / mirror image of that one) which has been fucking ruined with pebbledash, extensions etc. That was thanks to its former owner Bob Monkhouse (I think he had a child who went to the Percy Headley School right next to there).

I didn’t watch it live but I’ve seen the full fight now. I know it was a massive payday for those involved but why the fuck is a super middleweight fighting a welterweight at middleweight? I know that’s rhetorical question given the answer is obviously because of the pay day. But despite the all action ‘tear up’ nature of fight, I really didn’t enjoy watching it. I think more should be made of the 170 lbs clause and the dangers of a fighter going into a 12 round match without being able to rehydrate properly. But just as much the talk should be about the danger of someone going in against a much bigger man. The nauseating Eddie Hearn was, straight after the fight, talking about Benn being at potential superstar at welterweight. Really? I thought he showed great heart and what a chin but a lot of his work was wild and inaccurate. If he can’t avoid the punches from Eubank, who looked leggy from about 4 rounds in and who is at the end a good but not stellar career then I’d question his ability to do so against world level fighters at 147 lbs. If Hearn really thought that why put his fighter in this position? (See previous rhetorical question). Also, Benn took loads of punishment (which he took really well) in the latter rounds. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he’s never the same fighter again. Something else Hearn conveniently ignored. There shouldn’t be a rematch so there probably will be one

I see Vaibhav Suryavanshi, aged just 14 (vidiprinter: FOURTEEN), has hit the second fastest century in IPL history.

Have they tried turning it off and turning it back on again?

Said this a few times before but for when the VAR team decide they need to get involved then they need to completely own the decision. If they decide it’s a mistake they make that call. They’re the ones with the technology at their disposal (and not just a smaller screen where someone else dictates which replays are available, as is the case for the on field ref). If they don’t think it’s clear enough to call out as an error then the VAR team should stay out of it. Asking the referee to look at the screen in front of a crowd puts ridiculous pressure on them. Surely VAR should be about helping officials, not making their life more difficult

They were discussing the possibility of Wrexham away next season on there when up pops Keith with this scintillating anecdote:

I bet Eubank was dangerously dehydrated. Failed to make the weight by half an ounce or something. But there didn’t look to be a bit of fat on him at the weigh in. Then there was a clause where he couldn’t weigh more than 170 pounds (or gain another 9.5 lbs) before the fight. I think the fight could’ve still go ahead but Eubank had already been fined a fortune for the former and I think it would’ve been the same again if he’d weighed more than 170.

I was reading that, after the success of this event, they are now looking into using the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to host some football matches

That’s assuming they don’t want him. I think he’s played every game under the new manager

Inter lost 0-1. Napoli won 2-0 (both goals by McTominay) to move 3 points clear at the top with just 4 games remaining.
