  1. Said this a few times before but for when the VAR team decide they need to get involved then they need to completely own the decision. If they decide it’s a mistake they make that call. They’re the ones with the technology at their disposal (and not just a smaller screen where someone else dictates which replays are available, as is the case for the on field ref). If they don’t think it’s clear enough to call out as an error then the VAR team should stay out of it. Asking the referee to look at the screen in front of a crowd puts ridiculous pressure on them. Surely VAR should be about helping officials, not making their life more difficult
  2. They were discussing the possibility of Wrexham away next season on there when up pops Keith with this scintillating anecdote:
  3. I bet Eubank was dangerously dehydrated. Failed to make the weight by half an ounce or something. But there didn’t look to be a bit of fat on him at the weigh in. Then there was a clause where he couldn’t weigh more than 170 pounds (or gain another 9.5 lbs) before the fight. I think the fight could’ve still go ahead but Eubank had already been fined a fortune for the former and I think it would’ve been the same again if he’d weighed more than 170.
  4. I was reading that, after the success of this event, they are now looking into using the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to host some football matches
  5. Can you not get the fiend a collar with a bell or something at least
  6. He had a big knob. But, on the other hand, it was quite small
  7. The deputy head at our high school was called Mr Golightly. We used to call him Mr Divvent gan heavily
  8. That’s assuming they don’t want him. I think he’s played every game under the new manager
  9. Anyone remember this btw: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/I'm_with_Busey So bad it was good.
  10. The BBC and The Guardian seem to have forgotten to mention that this has tainted Liverpool’s season
  11. Inter lost 0-1. Napoli won 2-0 (both goals by McTominay) to move 3 points clear at the top with just 4 games remaining.
  12. Quite happy with the way we continue to fly under the radar. But given where we are in the league, the run of results you mentioned (20 wins out of the last 26 games was it?) on top of the fact we’ve actually won a fucking trophy and it’s all a bit Comical Ali from Sky and the BBC tbh. You get the feeling they would love us to blow it and miss out on CL football next season

  14. I love York. For a while I was based at the Defra buildings next to the River Foss not far from a section of the city walls. Just walking around is interesting in itself. The history of the place is ridiculous. Even the boozer next door to where I worked dates back to the 15th century
  15. He’s a clever sampler (or was). I kind of agree the results aren’t really anything amazing though. The whole ‘big beat’ thing was just block party hip hop. A style that was nothing new even at the time. Just a more commercially appealing version of that really. I can’t say I was ever much of a fan but I liked some of his stuff at the time. Massively overrated imo because I think there’s people who are much better. But that’s just taste really. He’s got a canny discography when you look at all the stuff he’s been involved with. What’s triggered this btw? Has he done something recently? The CUNT
  16. And Ba was here first wasn’t he? Ba got moved because of Cisse’s mental run of form in his first (part) season here? Or have I remembered it incorrectly?

  20. He’s been a huge advocate for women’s football and, let’s be honest, there are a lot more men into football than women so it’s only helped raise the profile of the women’s game
