Thing is with TAA, he could be very good in that position, because of his attributes, but he hadn’t played there anything like enough. He could probably do with a season playing there in the PL first. It’s so different playing a lot of the game with your back to goal compared to RB, where all the okay is usually in front of you. Not just that but there’s less time and space in the middle of the park. What’s weird is Southgate is normally so cautious, and it seems like an unnecessary gamble. I thought that, especially in relation to the service he had and the role he had to play for the team, he did a great job second half. For his one chance he did pretty much everything right and was thwarted by a top class save. Some of his hold-up play where no team mate was within about 40 yards of him and he had to win a foul holding off about 3 defenders was brilliant. He was the least of the team’s attacking issues after the break
