God I feel rough

I love living in London. Can't imagine living anywhere else in the country now having been here for 13 years.

Mine are all pretty obvious: NY, Berlin, San Fran, Amsterdam, Rome, Hong Kong, Marakech, Paris, Capetown, Rio, LA. Agree with Fish about London too. Most people that moan about it bring too unfriendly and overcrowded haven't seen past the west end - a place most Londoners avoid for most of the year.

Off to a corporate box to watch his today with the prawn sandwich brigade. Not expecting much in terms of a result but looking forward to free champagne and food.

The privatisation of public services has to be one of her worst legacies. Trains these days are fucking shite as a result. Companies competing with each other in the free market doesn't always produce a better result for the passenger. Not that we're called passengers anymore, we're customers now.

Champagne cocktails with sugar cubes and bittersweet lined up for Christmas Day. Might do some old fashioneds for late doors too. I'm a big believer in good bourbon. Often prefer it to scotch.

Two weeks holiday as of today. Skipping the annual jaunt to the toon. Going to miss the Christmas Eve pissup in Ponteland Village but not having to travel the length of the country makes up for it. Though all the family staying with us for a week makes me question the move. Silver lining is they'll all be up for getting up with the bairn while we lie in. Going to the arsenal game on the 29th. Other than that, not doing much beyond eating, drinking and watching crap on the telly. Happy Christmas everyone!

He never stopped banging on about skunkers when he used to post on here, a forum I've never bothered reading but presume he was banned from. I wonder if he whines more about this place now. Honestly, this place has been a million times better since he left. Anyone who denies that is either lying, insane or on the wind up.

Getting this lad, debuchy and Douglas on and losing Ba would be a decent window by recent standards. We'd still be short up front but might mean we're forced to play 433, which could be a good thing.
