plenty of oddballs in wales tbf, particularly in the small ex mining towns in the valleys. i was in a pub in a little town called mountain ash once and this revolting old bird came over to our table eating a curry with a beer mat. she then proceeded to try to get off with me while her lad was loitering in the back ground. we got out of there sharpish. place had an atmosphere like it could kick off at any time.

i'm definitely a sissy when it comes to london gangsters. i wouldn't be brave enough to step up to the chavs down here. they don't believe in an honest toe to toe fist fight and will be quick to pull a knife. i lived in brixton for three years and never had any bother personally but a mate of mine was mugged at knife point for his mobile and wallet.

on current form, he's up there. but he's got to do it consistently. he's a great shot stopper, excellent reflexes and he's still young so should only get better. i'm not convinced he's the best at coming for crosses and his kicking hasn't always been the greatest. i'd still put czech, given and hart above him....for now.

i am loving this start. enjoying it while it lasts! i fully expect us to plummet down to our our natural level of lower mid table by the season's end. we've ridden our luck to get a few dubious results and one or two injuries and we'll look a poor outfit all of a sudden. but you never know, confidence and momentum are massive things in sport. if we can keep injury free, i'll dare to dream. why support the team otherwise?
