it's all about the espresso frappucino tbh

a one night stand is the cure

does getting cained count as a hobby?
-
me too. then at least if we do ok i'll be pleasantly surprised.

the teams around us are improving and as far as i'm aware we haven't got a pot to piss in - the players we have been linked with recently suggest that we won't be splashing out in the transfer market. unless roeder can conjure of some del-boy-esque wheeling and dealing, i can see it being a long season.
-
the core of the team could be the same for the next world cup, unless some quality new youngsters break through. assuming owen's knee injury deprives him of pace and mobility, maybe walcott can take his role alongside rooney - he's going to be learning from the likes henry and wenger at arsenal. the only problem position could be right back i can't see a 35 year old neville still being up for it and there aren't too many other quality english right backs around at the moment. something like this i reckon.... --------------------robinson ???--------terry-----------ferdinand------a cole lennon----hargreaves----gerrard---------j cole ----------rooney-----------walcott/???
-
he got so much stick because eriksson kept bringing him on for ten minuted here and there, playing him out of position and expecting him to turn a game. he isn't that sort of player. he's shown his true class given a run in his favoured position and should keep lampard out of the side on current form. he's one of the few good things to have come out of the eriksson era.
-
talk of 5th and 6th is pie in the sky with the current squad. we need three or four quality signings before my optimism is renewed
-
i reckon we should try nobby up front as a withdrawn second striker. he might do well in the beardsley role behind someone with a bit of pace. it would also give us the chance of using a direct, quicker right winger.
-
nicky butt, scott parker and amady faye are all "tough tackling" we need strikers. why are we so obsessed with recruiting midfielders???
-
he did more in that game than lampard did for us all tournament
-
no doubt he'll go back to france and recapture his pre-toon form and his place in the french starting eleven
-
edited for truth
-
decent news that there's no damage to the medial ligament too. he'll still do well to kick a ball again this season
-
i expect another season of disappointment and underachievment
-
he might do well alongside someone like defoe. what he does need is an injury free season and a run of a few games. that way we'll know for sure whether he'd dead wood or not.
-
i wouldn't mind jfh here as a stopgap but it would totally contradict roeder's comments about building a younger squad.
-
60k i think. st james would be better if we ever finished it off...
-
i like him. he's the sort of no nonsense defender we've been crying out for. canny distribution too
-
so he's got a choice between playing alongside henry and van persie or shola and jimmy floyd. i wonder where he'll go...
-
he's a stopgap. nothing more. hopefully he'll only be on a one year deal. we wouldn't be looking at him if owen was fit. not a bad signing if we chalk up another two strikers of better quality and use jfh as a bench warmer.

italy's route to the final is looking piss easy
-
i thought he was rubbish yesterday, which could be good for us if we buy him on the cheap now and he ends up doing the business for us. this world cup was his club's chance to add a few million to his price tag but he blew it.

kuyt, camara and hasslebank would do a job.
