Haven't got anything booked, but in the last couple of years I've had friends move to Florida, Australia, Cyprus and Spain so there's lots of potential for just booking flights and not having to find accommodation. However, both of our passports have run out and the bairn needs his first one so it'll cost us more to get the sodding passports than it would to book flights for Spain. That's one for the pet hates thread if I could be bothered....

Personally have had fantastic service from Apple in Eldon Square. Took my iPhone in just before Christmas as it had regularly been cutting out when I was in the middle of a call and the whole phone would re-start itself which was absolutely infuriating. They looked at it, downloaded the phone history and stats, told me it was a firmware issue and promptly took a new iPhone out of the drawer behind them and replaced it. I wasn't asked where I'd originally got it from, whether I had insurance or a warranty or anything like that. The guy asked me to enter my Apple ID and password, and as I left the shop, all of my original info and data was downloading back onto my new phone and it was as if nothing had happened. They were frankly brilliant.

I've had a lovely day! On holiday from work, bairn at nursery, other half at work all day so I had the place to myself. I was awake too early so had a nice little nap this afternoon and a rather nice bottle of Chardonnay this evening. It's all good

I had a dream last night that it was my wedding day and I realised I had no make-up on. I ended up running around a department store - Debenhams I think, using all of their free samples to put my face on. I was wearing my wedding dress and it ended up with smudges of powder etc down the front. Now that's pretty fucked up, not least because I rarely wear any make-up and have no wedding plans!

Absolutely ridiculous. As part of my job I sometimes have to go from my department over to maternity in the dead of night. I have to walk for about 5 minutes across a near-deserted car park and through paths lined with trees. I'm always on my own and have no kind of torch or alarm. Get on with it ffs.

Just a heads up for any of you that have kids that are as obsessed with The Gruffalo as mine is. Theatre Royal 15th-17th June - a stage adaptation. Take your fraggles for a stroll through the deep, dark wood whilst introducing them to the wonderful world of theatre at the same time! We're doing on the 17th which happens to be Himself's birthday. I'm not sure this is what he has in mind as a birthday treat...
