Other than extensive scarring, it would be pretty good if that's the only area affected. It's pretty localised and could be treated effectively although healing for 3rd degree is really slow. The problems start when it's much larger areas due to fluid loss from the burned area and massive risk of infection to the tissues leading to systemic spread etc.
-
Aye, although that really is painful

S'alreet. Burns are minging. Used to do skin grafts where I used to work where they'd basically thinly slice a bit of healthy tissue off somewhere else on the body (usually thigh or back) and try and improve scars caused by burns. Fiddly business.
-
Burnt tendons? Correct. 3rd degree burns are apparently less painful as they are full thickness and the nerve endings are destroyed, but there is still sensation on the edges of the burn therefore not completely pain-free. Had a kid in A&E not so long ago after a house fire with something like 50% 3rd degree burns. Absolutely fucking heartbreaking.

I think I may need to drink more water actually.

Nah, I didn't bother today Thank you Ms. Mags. Will try and find something suitable in the lotions and potions cupboard, although I think my choice maybe limited to acetone

As we seem to have lovely subjects on here tonight, I appear to breaking out in teenage acne (okay, I've got 4 spots on my face) I have never, ever suffered from being a spotty bird and now all hell is breaking loose. There's one in particular that isn't even a proper spot - it's just lurking under my nose and fucking kills everytime I move my face and is making my eyes water. Please help
-
Ohhh you're gonna upset some people with that. Needs a bit of cling film over it by the looks of things. Proper burns are the most minging thing to see like, and the smell is just foul

Never, never, never try and cut your own hair. It can only end in disaster. So can trying to stick chewing gum behind your ear (a la Marmalade Atkins) when you're 8 because it WILL get stuck in your hair and your mam will go mental and cut it out herself

Ordered some stuff on Thursday night and it arrived Saturday morning. Never had a problem with them at all.

Got this image of you running around like that smiley changing every clock you can find. I nearly forgot actually Posted that, went to bed and was almost asleep before thinking "Fuuuck! Must change the clock!"
-
And you should watch your mouth!

Only as in "after midnight" tonight, aye

Ahh Dave. A classic case of 'If you can't be with the one you love then love the one you're with' As for what to do? What do you want to do?

Dear Mother.... Thank you so much for that reminder, I had NO idea is was this weekend. And I love you to bits for cheering me up, im working tonight.....Now it will be a 9 hour shift instead of 10!! It's always the best night of the year to work
-
No, because the clocks don't change at midnight making it 1am, do they? So the bus will pick you up at 1am (whereupon it will technically be 2am but that would be like trying to confuse an idiot so I'm going to stop now) Basically leave your watch alone for the moment and go out for your bus when the big hand is on the 12 and the little hand is on the one. Get back to me in the morning and I'll tell what time it really is
-
Officially yes. But you won't care by that point so just change the clock when you get home if you can still see straight.
-
Please remember that your clocks go forward by 1 hour tonight when you go to bed. That is all. Love, Mother xxx

From what I hear you had a right good breaststroke... I like to leave that speciality to someone else
