For those of you whingeing about not quite getting the whole 2 weeks off then spare a thought for us poor angels. Christmas is just like any other day and I think I've worked 9 out of the last 10 Christmas Day's. Don't have to go in til 8pm Christmas night this year which is a bit better, but still.. [/feeling sorry for myself]

The pressies are all bought but not a one of them is wrapped yet so that'll be my mission for the day. Luckily I've not needed to brave the ridiculous supermarket experience as I'm eating out for most of Christmas. Suppose the house could do with a bit of a clean, and I'll be going to midnight mass tonight, coming home, putting my new jarmies on (you ALWAYS have to have new jarmies for Christmas Eve!) and then going to bed. Unfortunately santa won't be coming to my house tonight but I think he may be dropping a few things off at my mam and dad's for me to pick up tomorrow lunchtime

What really pisses me off is the way people shop like they're never going to eat again. You DO NOT need 2 trolleys full of stuff, and you DO NOT need to barge your way around Tesco like you're running the Krypton Factor assault course. People become so fucking consumed by the whole Christmas thing and it annoys me. Maybe I'm just bitter cos I've worked Christmas for the last 10 years and so it tends to just pass me by
