  1. He was spectacularly arrogant for someone who has achieved and was achieving so little (with no disrespect to his glorious reign at Bolton). That was the worrying thing. He didn't seem to have a particularly good knack of identifying and remedying faults with his teams.
  2. What the fuck has happened to this club? It doesnt seem to matter which big money players we buy these days, we seem to be so synonymous with abject failure that anyone new through the doors seems to accept this as the norm and lo and behold their turning to shit becomes practically inevitable. The problem is Ashley's cash injection alone cannot remedy this, it is endemic. I think theres a serious malaise about the place now and sooner or later we'll be in danger of not turning up for an entire season with the inevitable consequences. It's getting to the stage where I'd actually like us to buy a load of promising young players en masse from the lower league on shortish contracts (easily do-able as we have the bargaining power in that scenario) and just try and tap into their enthusiasm and energy to revitalise the place. It wouldnt matter if a few were not up to it we'd try them out, give them a chance and get rid where necessary. We're doing that already with 'successful' mongs, signed for millions of quid and paid tens of thousands of pounds per week.
  3. If I know anything about women, she's clearly loving that, the filthy bitch.
  4. I'm getting less and less bothered who takes it now.
  5. In all seriousness..do Blackburn even merit a reply? The fact that this is coming from Blackburn fans actually diffuses any antagonism for me.
  6. That bit I happen to agree with. For me Shearer needs to come out and issue a statement via the club that he does not want the position. It would take very very little effort on his part to do this, yet the inaction of not doing it causes imeasurable problems. The media have peddled this shit for ages now but for me I don't have a gripe with them because I live in the real world. The media will run whichever is the most sensational story-that is their only agenda-they have no interest in giving a balanced take on feelings amongst supporters. My issue is with Shearer himself because it's his inaction that allows the media to speculate about this shit. This makes it so fucking easy to de stabilise the club and undermine whoever is manager it is untrue. He needs to come out and say categorically he is not interested in the post. It does not even have to be true, he can have a fucking gentlemens agreement with Laura if he wants, it's the public line that is important. If we had a statement from him saying this then the media would have to shut the fuck up, the team wouldnt be distracted and the manager wouldn't be undermined. It's an odd thing to say that there is a moral obligation on anyone to perform a positive act regarding something that is totally extraneous to them, but for me now with Shearer, that is the case if he's the 'local hero' he's cracked up to be. It needs to be a very public, very clear statement via the club that he is not interested. It can be a lie that's ok. But anything short of this and for me he's guilty of putting his own interests before the club and massaging his ego. That's okay and again it's not a serious accusation to lay at the average person's door, but for a 'local hero', for me, it means revocation of that particular title. Shearer's too media savvy and image conscious to come out with that sort of stuff. Despite what people might wish to believe, he's no Keegan who wore his heart on his sleeve. He can't give a straight opinion on MOTD for fucks sake. I know that, that's my point; he's well aware of the effects of his actions/inactions. I'm saying the fact that he understands that makes it more incumbent on him to do something about it and fucking make a statement distancing himself from the job. It needs a selfless act from him. What if he wants the job? Then I'd be disappointed and would hope that he would decline it anyway very publically in favour of and for the benefit of a better candidate. In the event that he was absolutely determined to take the post however then no doubt he would not do that, in which case, going back to the genesis of the point I was picking up on...let's get on with it and get it fucking over with.

  13. Come on mate yes he has no relevant experience but so fuckin what! He is gonna play the correct team week in week out, and he will DEFINATLY play attacking football with two wingers. He is everything we want, plus a geordie and a positive surrounding. Though there will be the fuckin idiotic minority which you'll no doubt be a part of whinging and moaning whoever we appoint. Fact is and someone said it earlier, we arent going to move on until he has had his go. But i do think he would do well for us. Apart from the bit in bold, are you on the wind up, mate?
  14. Quite honestly couldn't give a fuck about Liverpool. Thanks for the concern though.
  15. I don't want Redknapp but then I don't think we're a credible career move for any decent manager at present (due entirely to how the club's been run) so we could do worse I spose.
  16. His brother-in-law Frank Lampard Snr was on last night saying that he wouldnt touch us with a bargepole cos we're too far north. Surely his brother-in-law, Frank Lampard Snr wouldn't lie?!
