  1. I quite like that 'Stars in their Eyes' by Just Jack too. Is that download only?
  2. Good for you Radgi. Astigmatism is nothing unusual and glasses are quite fasionable these days. You could always get contact lenses as an alternative. Do you need them all the time or just for certain tasks? Thanks Apparently I only need them for driving and whilst using a computer ( which is about 75% of the time what with work and then here) but I have to wear them all the time for three days sothat my eyes "adjust" to them. Perfectly normal, just got to let your eyes and your brain get on the same page again. You'll adjust to them in a day or two.

  4. I quite like it too. It does remind me of something but I can't think what.
  5. I think its an excellent sport. It's thoroughly absorbing once you fathom the rules (playing Madden is one of the best ways to learn). I've been a fan of the Rams since about 1985. I was hoping for a Bears - Patriots Superbowl as they were the two teams in the first one I watched. I'd like to see the Colts win it now, Peyton Manning deserves it.
  6. Virgin Mobile already have their call centre in the third world. It's in Middlesbrough. Sorry to hear about your job KCG.
  7. Aye, but we'd have soon coached that out of him.
  8. I've always thought Bramble was the best centreback here in terms of ability, he has everything you would want except for the concentration issue and the fact his confidence is very fragile and its been incredibly annoying that he hasn't kicked on and become the sort of player he should be. I also like Taylor, still plenty of work to do, but would be helped a great deal if we signed a class and experienced CB to play alongside him, or for that matter Bramble. At the risk of repeating myself, that is why Bramble is so annoying and why I've lost patience with him- he has all the physical tools but is not up to it mentally. He's what I call a nine-to-five player. He comes in does his training and goes home again. He isn't interested on improving himself or staying back and doing extra work or finding out about help from someone like a sports psychologist. If he was, he would have done by now. Even the best players have to work hard at certain aspects of their game to become truly top class. He's quite happy just to do the minimum required and pick up his money which is a shameful waste really.
  9. Be interesting to see how Hamilton fares with Alonso as his team-mate. Anything better than being blown into the weeds will be a pretty good achievement. Good luck to the lad.
  10. I miss Big Ron's commentary, he was (unintentionally) funny. And I also think his comment was more out of ignorance and stupidity, rather than anything nasty. Not that that is any excuse or makes it any better.
  11. Interesting. Wasn't Hofland being touted as the new Jaap Stam at one point? What sort of money do you think he would go for? He was injured and didn't get back into the first team at PSV. Stabilised at Wolfsburg at got back into the Dutch squad occasionally. One of the most reliable defenders in the Bundesliga in the last couple of seasons. I would value him at around 5m Euro, which would at least unsettle him and maybe force Wolfsburg in a sale. And I didn't take it as a piss-take DK. Bargain when compared to Upson then.
  12. Is your sig inspired by 'Clever Trevor' on Hawksbee & Jacobs Stevie? Funny feature, that.

  14. In the bits I've seen it was Danielle and Jo coming out with the really spiteful comments.
  15. I'd give my all if I was playing for Newcastle, I'd be shit though and I'd deserve the abuse i'd get for being so incompetent at my job. Ramage is a fucking useless footballer who, if there was any justice in the world, would be playing in at least League One by now. Players like him are the reason we are so incompetent at the back and will never go anywhere. No you would deserve pity is imagine. Ramage is trying his best to his job and it's not his fault if he doesn't have the ability then it's the managements fault for not having put someone in place who can. Personally I don't think he's anything like as bad as some would make him out but I agree we should have better than him available to us. Mind you he's only forth choice and I would doubt many other clubs have better than him as their forth choice centreback! Agree totally with both of Kelly's posts. It's hardly Ramage's fault we haven't got anyone better than him. Just thinking about what you've said there, and this isn't specifically aimed at Ramage, but wouldn't you think that a player in his position would, recognising the fantastic opportunity he's been given, do everything he can to get better at his job. If I was a relatively poor Premiership defender (or any other position for that matter, but centre half is a good example as it's possible to be a very good functional centre half without being a hugely naturally gifted footballer, probably more so than any other position on the pitch), I would be working my ring off to try and get better given that the alternative is a huge drop in wages and Championship football, or worse. If a player like Ramage or Bramble really put the effort in and approached Roeder and confessed to their knowledge of their failings, and expressed a desire to do extra training sessions, review the tapes of their play or whatever, they could make a big difference to the rest of their careers. The money and the place in the first team sometimes just comes too easily. Agree with Gemmill. The fact that Titus has all the physical tools for the job makes it even more frustrating that he doesn't appear to have done any work on his mental / concentration shortfalls.
  16. Not the first time he's been involved in a rear-ending incident apparently.
  17. Oh dear (smirk). What did he hit?
  18. I don't mind as long as it's not Chelsea. I used to hate ManU, now I hate Chelsea. The constant? That ringpiece Kenyon.
  19. He's had a bad time the last few weeks but I'd rather keep him as a back-up than Titus.
