Fairly sure Preston got him for peanuts (£100000 I think), he's quick, can finish, likes to run at defenders and isn't scared to shoot from distance. I reckon he will be Premiership material sooner rather than later and for, say £1.5million, I'd pick him over Shola everytime.

Kilcline did a job for us. Someone of that ilk, an experienced old head to come in and steady the nerves at the back might be just what we need. If they look like a Hells Angel, all the better.

To be fair to him, this is the best chance he'll get to win the biggest prize in his profession, the World Cup. He's playing for a club side mired in mid-table mediocrity and who never win trophies anyway. I don't think you can blame him for letting his mind wander to the summer when you weigh up what he's got going on here with what potentially could be in Germany. Having said that, I'd expect him to be 100% commited to us next season as there is no summer tournament in 2007 (providing he's still here of course).
