  1. All the local press are friends with Bruce from his time at the Mackems. It's so transparent that it's actually quite funny to see, what was angry diatribes, turn into glad-handling, pissy knickered "give him some time!" narratives. They're shameless and they and their malware, ad-ridden websites need to be ignored completely for the rest of time.
  2. He represents Ashley's model in such undiluted shitness that no, he does not deserve any support. Change needs to be forced, he needs to be out of the club because crap, old managers ready for the knacker yard like Pardew, McClaren, Bruce and Carver would never be anywhere near a club that has any hope of progressing and growing whatsoever. They're built-in custodians of clubs circling the drain with no honours or successes to note. They're symptomatic of everything that needs to change in the approach and running of the football club. This is bigger than us fumbling our way to 40 points every year.
  3. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Diame come back in on a 1 year deal right before the window shuts. Bruce apparently loves him from his time at Hull and it’ll be a way to make him think he has any real say whatsoever.
  4. Google "Steve Bruce style of play" to find a lot of articles stating that he doesn't have one Not to mention this "From allowing centre-back Tommy Elphick to leave on loan, playing a midfielder at centre back, a right back at left back, another defender on the flanks, and star man Jack Grealish out of position." Can't wait.
  5. Bassong probably peaked in the 4 good month he had with us and he was only about 21, then. Remember when he was played at left back at first?
  6. Absolutely no reason to go to these games, even if the ticket already is paid for tbh. It’s not like you’re getting good value for money watching us get bummed every week. Empty stadiums speak louder than bedsheets and flags will.
  7. Happening btw Players have been told and there’s a press conference tomorrow. APPARENTLY[\Disclaimer]
  8. Not sure what’s more depressing: Steve Bruce being the number one candidate or the fact we won’t pay the compensation for him.
  9. Bruce has asked to speak with us by all accounts so seems like it might be moving in that direction. We’re like Make-A-Wish but one that grants second chances to busted, finished managers.
  10. Going for Allardyce is blatantly vindictive tbh. Then again, you can say anything about Ashley and Charnley and they’ll not come out and dispute it so who knows? Allardyce is probably on the wind-up.
  11. Aye, you couldn't make it up. Still, might not happen yet as his compo is about 3 million quid. Imagine breaking his "no employed manager" rule to buy out STEVE BRUCE's contract.
  12. He’ll be looking at Bruce’s promotion record as a fail safe. Us being wound up is just the icing on the cake for him.
  13. The compo will surely be negligible, though, won't it? I can't see a Championship manager who is a bit of a journeyman having a mad contract.
  14. Betting suspended on Steve Bruce GRASPING AT STRAW UPDATE: They love him at Hull.
  15. All because Alex Bruce followed us on Instagram Sky can pretend that it’s a source but this is the crack. This is where we are as a populace.
  16. Aye, there has to be SOMETHING brewing. They’re incompetent but not that incompetent. Saying that, the vain hope that Redfearn can be a cheap, internal promotion and the “like a new signing” philosophy when it comes to loan players in consistent. They’ll look at Perez and Rondon leaving and Gayle and Murphy returning and think nowts the matter.
  17. I presume it was 5 years but then again, we got him in 2014 so fuck knows. He'll be on a bomb as well because he was a Bosman
  18. If they don’t need a manager to sell players, they shouldn’t need one to buy them tbh.
  19. Charlie Austin hasn’t travelled with Southampton to wherever it is they’re going. I’d take him. Just saw that Erik Pieters is off to Burnley. I’m amazed we didn’t go in for him, he was TOP TOON TARGET at one point wasn’t he?
  20. No matter who you are, it's applaudable how quick you shot down that dodgy line of thinking. Welcome aboard.
  21. Lovely stuff. Well, not lovely but laying it all out like that. Mike Ashley has no defence in any of this as he’s proven that he’s incapable of any kind of sensible decision making for 12 years now.
  22. Odds shortening on Scott Dann signing which means there's money being laid on it from somewhere. Losing Schar and replacing him with Scott Dann would be a real power move. You'd swear we were trying to get relegated in some kind of Producers-style scheme.
