Maybe we should go for Hojlund after all, solely on the basis that players who look dogshit at Man Utd tend to come good the minute they move away
-
The hilarity of watching them pay off yet another failed manager, at vast expense, whilst Jim Sir Ratking runs around sacking back office staff to pay for it. Followed by another raft of loss making player sales to pay for the new players wanted by the latest manager. Marvellous, make it so

The older Ive got, the more those shows have just all merged into a sitcom soup in my mind. Brush Strokes, To the manor born, Ever decreasing circles, Just good friends....probably the same plot in all of them
-
I hope his career goes down in flames and he's attempting bicycle kicks in the third division of some no mark European league in a few years' time, whilst he wrestles with drinking and gambling addictions. Not that I'm bitter or anything.....
-
I take your point of course, all very sensible, but it's stupid to me. We'll have allowed ourselves to be victimised by Liverpool, and Isak and his agent. It provides a road map for every player that wants to force a move to a bigger club on their terms. I'm not the club's CFO so I don't care about the money, for me it's about pride
-
tbh if we accept 130m now from Liverpool and pay Isak a loyalty bonus, without an adequate replacement, we've allowed them both to treat us like complete idiots and get away with it. This has all been about Liverpool forcing a sale on their terms and getting a discount, and fucking us over in the process. It'd be mission accomplished, I really hope we're not that stupid.
-
All very rational but I'd still like to see him and his agent suffer
-
Exactly. And good luck in the world cup with no match time and zero match fitness

He came for the pocket cheese and crisps shaped like a lion's head. Or something.

It should've been a 'proof of eyesight' test
-
You're asking the wrong people
-
It's obvious Brentford aren't going to deal at this point, Wissa is worth far more to them than market value and I assume they can't get someone to replace his goals. We're just wasting our time, leave the offer on the table and move on.
-
Indeed. It's entirely possible that LFC have had absolutely no intention of signing Isak since they got Etitike. If that's the case Isak has fucked up his career and the start to our season for nothing. If there is any way back from this, and I doubt there is, he needs to sack his agent and blame everything on him.
-
Just read Isak's statement. What a cunt. We have to make an example of him now, give him none of what he wants, never mind the money
-
Also as others have said, if he was so determined to leave the club why no transfer request ahead of the summer break? I think we know the answer to that one.....
-
I think their result against West Ham was well done. However one swallow does not make a summer, as their sisters would say.
-
If there is another bid from Liverpool it'll be 120m I reckon. If we accept it, all of their cuntery will have been worth 30m off the asking price, so a job well done. If we don't accept it they can say we've been unreasonable and walk away having made Isak unselectable and weakening us considerably from a PSR and football pov. Their shills in the press will paint us as deluded upstarts who don't deserve any sympathy; Isak and his agent will be further enraged. It's hard to see how Liverpool lose from putting another lowish bid in.
-
I think what Isak doesn't realise is that he's painted himself into a corner by his actions. He's fucked his market value by acting the cunt, leaving Liverpool as the only game in town. Liverpool have low-balled and by deliberately tapping him up and creating this situation, I expect the club will be determined not to sell to them at any price. Also they will want to show that they wont be disrespected and fucked around by any player and his agent. He's fucked his relationship with the supporters, making reintegration a long hard road if not impossible. I honestly dont see how this resolves itself unless a Saudi club comes in with 130 mill and even then he will probably refuse to go there. If it goes tits up for him and his career that's on him and his agent, and he'll deserve it. I just hope there are consequences for this to him, his agent and of course Liverpool.
-
Follow the money
-
If you want to play bluff with your career as the stake, Saudis may not be the best opponents
-
Oh it will all be about broken promises and being badly treated after all he's done for the club. He'll be the victim in all of this of course
