  1. Can't see us getting anything out of Liverpool.
  2. Well, the dust has now settled for me and in the cold light of day my thoughts are - the appointment of Pardew makes no sense - the 5 1/2 yr contract makes no sense - Pardew is not up to it and doomed to failure - the owner and his MD are fucking idiotic wankers - the whole thing is dodgy and should be investigated - Hughton was treated disgracefully - my enthusiasm for the club has just died on its arse. Again. - I hate Ashley. And Llambias. And now Pardew. - I'm back to praying for a rich Arab/Russian/Yank to buy out Ashley. Unfortunately I resent Pardew and reading through his shitekawk platitudes, I hate him already. If I feel like that God knows how the players feel. I hope he works out but I fear for the future of the club.
  3. I think it's much worse. JFK basically sat in his office and did nowt and was only temporary anyway. I meant in the sense their choice is so bad, it's hard to believe. I take your point though.
  4. Despicable. Alan fucking Pardew. As much of a bad joke as JFK's appointment this.
  5. 3.5m to pay him then when they sack him at the end of the season
  6. Or Tremlett who did well in the lead-in game. No, the loss of Katich is critical. The middle order are shaky at best as you say, so if we don't have proven openers that can set up a foundation it will go pear-shaped. I know it's stating the obvious but you need Ponting to start making big scores. I wonder if his head's in the right place though, the pressure must be immense Ponting should drop himself further down the batting order. He's not a number three anymore in my view. But this lot are too scared of changes, as evidenced with the continual faith in North, Johnson (until he was dropped but will probably be re-instated) and even Clarke. We've found ourselves back to where we were in the 80's (only vague memories as I was a child), but back then we didn't have much of a talent pool to choose from but we had a hard arse captain (Alan Border) who kept it together and kept us competitive. Ponting isn't that sort of captain, and the next in line is Michael Clarke. His nickname is 'Pup'. Interesting idea, maybe put Hussey in at no. 3? Personally I wouldn't write off Australia just yet in this series, but some serious improvement is needed with both bat and ball. The team needs some inspiration and some luck, plus England to drop their performance level too.
  7. My stance is that Hughton wasn't the greatest, it's just that Pardew looks like utter dogshit. So we've treated a decent man like shite to bring in a crony who imo will take the club backwards. In addition this may be enough to fragment a paper thin squad, whether through Ashley selling or players jumping ship. So I don't see any reason to look on the bright side, until such time as Pardew and Ashley prove me wrong
  8. Plus 1 If only they'd bought a bar instead
  9. imo that is completely and utterly deluded. It's pie in the sky stuff, imo they will never raise enough money to buy it outright and no owner will ever sell a partial stake. So it's a grand waste of time and the equivalent of self absorbed navel gazing. The fans need a real supporters' club, once that isn't obsessed with chasing impossible dreams.

  11. Which do you think is worse to their respective team Ken, the loss of Katich or the loss of Broad? I'd normally say Broad as he's a genuine all rounder, except all of England's batsmen seem to be firing and we didn't need Broad's wickets at Adelaide. Plus we have Bresnan to come in who's OK. Whereas your batting line up looks shakey and both the batsmen you mentioned aren't in any sort of form by the sound of it. So I'd say maybe Katich on balance.....?
  12. He did need to develop by all accounts, I reckon we would have seen whether he was up to it after a full season. Now we'll never know
  13. I can't see them struggling against us anyway, given what's happened
  14. Ashley = asset stripper. He won't leave until he's fucked the club from top to bottom, unless we get very lucky with a buyer who's prepared to be held to ransom.
  15. No, we can still talk about transfers out as the Fat Destroyer of Clubs asset strips. Would ike to sell: Best, Perch, Guthrie Will probably sell: Carroll, Tiote, Enrique, Nolan
  16. Nice one OTF. All questions regarding the appointment of Pardew should be addressed to clueless@nufc.co.uk
  17. Wouldn't surprise me if he made a few crooked bets on the side....
  18. It's obvious Pardew stitched this up with Derek and Mike several weeks ago, and so has been conniving like a shit to put a fellow professional out of a job. It's the equivalent of being an accessory to murder and then stealing the dead man's shoes. He therefore deserves all the vitriol that is going to come his way, unless he cna pull off a ten game winning streak.
  19. Player exodus and relegation. There's every chance it could happen imo. I hope I'm "wide of the mark".
  20. By sacking Hughton and appointing Pardew, the fat cunt's managed to recreate the Keegan crisis where none existed. Except Pardew's managerial credentials are worse than JFK's were.
