  1. That and the fact he doesn't actually do any management or coaching
  2. I agree with Dr Gloom, I think Mitchell will shop abroad for new players with great potential and a lower price tag. I'd be very surprised if we shell out big bucks for the likes of Mbuemo or Elanga, assuming that they're even available. I get the sense that Mitchell was brought in to get us away from expensive transfers, which rules out older and established PL players. I dont think there's any chance we'll go for the likes of Grealish, which is a good thing imo Of course you never know, a marquee signing might be approved if we make the champions league, and they were a genuinely elite player. However I expect we'll be looking to bring in 4 or 5 quality players - with several players leaving - so we wont spunk most of our transfer budget on one player.
  3. I tend to be sceptical of these stories because most of Eddie's signings have been under the radar. I think we'll be linked with a lot of bullshit players this summer
  4. 2 goals in 32 appearances for Everton
  5. Sounds like feral behaviour. Either he's becoming a bit odd or hes trying to get sacked.
  6. Yes. I think their model assumes they can move on senior players on long term contracts like Mudryk for decent fees, and make a fat profit on some of the junior players they've been stockpiling. If they can't do that and there's no CL football, they'll have a huge wage bill, a bloated and disaffected squad, and not enough income to cover their losses. Here's hoping 🤞
  7. Great result that. Brentford are a tricky side and good away from home, so we've done well to win it. Wouldn't mind signing Mbuemo either.
  8. the never ending quest for relevance....
  9. You're obviously a talisman of mackem non-achievement 🖖
  10. This is just embarrassing, I'm glad theyre not obsessed
  11. If we take their approach to counting attendance there were actually 600,000 people out today
  12. If they dont win the Europa league they'll be out of Europe too
  13. Might as well give him Wilson's wages anyway, we've been down to one striker for most of the season
  14. If he goes, I think it would be to Real or PSG. I don't think we'd sell to another PL club with 3 years left on his contract
  15. Is that....John Barnes 😳
  16. As I've got older my bandwidth for caring about the plight of random nations has steadily shrunk, and I think Trump has now broken whatever was left over. Maybe I shouldn't judge others by my own standards, but I find the idea that the man in the street deeply cares about what is happening in Saudi completely laughable (pointing to Saudi or the UAE on a map would probably be a challenge). When I lived in the UK - nigh on 20 years ago - most people I knew barely gave a shit about what happened in their own country if it didnt directly affect them. I expect people are even more apathetic now. I certainly dont lose any sleep over our owners. Fair play to Amnesty but the people who make the noise are mostly hypocrites with an undeclared agenda or mouth breathing knuckle dragging morons.
  17. Yes. I don't think anyone in the media really cares about sportswashing anyway. It's just a way to generate public engagement from faux outrage. I don't like the Saudi regime, and I think most decent people would find it abhorrent in many respects; however I dont think most people genuinely care about the House of Saud or what goes on in the middle east. In reality sportswashing is just a lazy trope to cut us down to the size they think we ought to be. As if in some way it invalidates everything about us. What they really dont like is our success with these owners, not who our owners are. They can fuck right off, I couldnt care less what the anti-NUFC media thinks.
  18. That would require a tache and a mullet, sir. And probably a beer and a tab. A tache alone is an insult...
