I floss if some food's got stuck in my teeth. I don't think of doing it otherwise. The subject reminds me of Clint Eastwood and Sandra Locke. According to her, whenever he wanted sex he asked her if she'd flossed her teeth.

Keeping your best players fit for the league is a no-brainer, isn't it? Only the teams that think they might win the cup don't do that. It's not as if we've challenged for the league cup in living memory, even when we had a decent team......
-
but my point is "we" can't guard anything. You do websites, I drive a cab. Nothing either of us can do so stop worrying! What will be , will be ... Que sera. :-) He's entitled to his opinion about what sort of team we should play though. And I agree. We've such a small squad, we need to bring kids through and league cup is the time to do it. It's also folly to flog our first teamers to death when they're so many games to go. I don't think that's being a doom and gloom merchant, it's just common sense.

I get the impression Hughton will be the last to know if anything happens.

Liam Gallagher? I'd rather have a night out with Frank Gallagher than our kid
-
This. Never lived up to the hype. And I'm hard pressed to think of a more unlikeable twat than Noel Gallagher.

Good stuff. The fat fucker deserves to have his reputation shredded.

Or they could just say NO, I'm still in my contract Yes, yes they could. Oh the power of imagination.

Perhaps this is the players way of avoiding a transfer? Like dodging the draft? Should we expect some miraculous recoveries come Wedsnesday?
-
Never thought I'd be disappointed by an injury to Shola!
-
I've become very cynical about transfers, I only see them going one way these days. I think this is more cock and bull to raise fans' hopes, most likely planted by the club. As Parky says, with a bit of investment it could all be so different, and I suspect everything will be left to the last minute as usual to our maximum detriment. The incompetence and lack of planning at the club makes me sick.

why does everyone assume we will be the only ones to get injuries ?? every team will get the odd injury - at present, its Carroll and Barton, and next week it could be them back with Butt and Colo injured. it will be the same for Boro, cardiff, Sheff Utd. Haway man, lift the gloom and believe. Most of the other teams in the division have strength in squad depth you spacca. (8000th post ) we have 49 players - and something like 33 full time pros - admittedly short on first team experience BUT other clubs have around 20 full timers isn't "short on first team experience" a rather big understatement? nufc.com have put it in perspective, not that I can be bothered to link it -
How do we know there'll be any players left to meet by this afternoon?
-
Agreed. And, in a twisted way, it might be a good thing: If Moat comes in, it will have mean we will have sold three players at least to make it possible, resulting in a dodgy season. If Ashley stays, it will mean we don't necessarily have to sell anyone before Monday. And let's not forget, loan deals and the signing of free agents can be done until September 8. I honestly think we can bring in five or six players then that will add much-needed depth to our squad. Best case scenario - Ashley stays, we go up, then he sells and we're on a level footing. Worst case - We sell more players, Moat comes in, we go down....God knows. I really don't know anymore. To my mind it's hard to imagine anyone more incompetent and disastrous for the club than Ashley. Even appointing a half decent manager would make a difference. If Ashley stays, you just know he's going to fuck up every big decision he has to make, starting with the manager.

...or he'll send his people round to retract something?

You must of said something to upset her for that to happen. "Schweinhund! Hande Hoch! Raus raus!" (copyright Commando comic)

I always thought Andy Townsend was the worst pundit I ever saw when I lived in the UK. Talks in cliches, adds nothing to any discussion, it's hard to believe he was ever a professional footballer as he has no insight whatsoever. Has an annoying whiny voice. That was until I moved to NZ and had the great misfortune to see Tommy Smyth on ESPN. Mouth works in overdrive but brain is totally disengaged. Defines the phrase 'the wheel is turning but the hamster's dead." Inspires homicidal rage and torture fantasies in the viewer. Makes Townsend look like a genius.

The old guy in the middle looks like a right backy-slap -
Let's see if it's true. If he does go it'll be a decision motivated by money, or the lack of it at the club.
