Wigan v Newcastle United - Wednesday 14th @ 19:45

Routine win against a dogshit side, one of the worst yet. Rotherham were much better. No doubt all seven hundred Wigan fans will be bitterly disappointed at the state of their pathetic side and their tip of a stadium. -

Neither is alcohol, the prohibition is against "intoxicants." -

He needs to be able to provide plausible deniability for the people back home, that's all it is. I've never touched a drop of alcohol in my life and I'd fucking know if I was double the legal limit, as would everyone around me. The two Toure brothers are as genuine as a three dollar bill. One's scoffing pills, the other one's necking pints, and neither had any idea whatsoever what they were doing. Righto then There's a joke that goes "Invite two sheikhs to your house and neither has ever seen alcohol before. Invite one and he'll drink you dry." -

That's pretty much how I feel about the modern versions of Forest and the Champions of Europe. Nothing clubs that have nothing to offer this division or any other. But at least they actually have history. Wigan are the epitome of a shit institution propped up by a millionaire who are now returning to the oblivion they spawned from. Nobody will miss them, not even the few residents of their particular twisted corner of the north-west. -

Names of some kids I have taught: Yandeirys, Andrichson, Jadielis, Sheisyn, Dranisleidi, Jet Li, Hale, Prinsly, Zaquan (twin brother Rayquan, absolutely 100% not making this up), Rain and Legend. -
The two penalty saves did it, I think, especially the second. If we'd let that in the second half would've been a massacre IMO. But keeping the penalties out really spurred the team on. Just goes to show what a difference it makes having a quality keeper, and makes it more galling that we went out of the cup on Tuesday thanks to the comedy antics of someone who really shouldn't be anything but fourth choice. As far as Shelvey goes, I think Rafa will rapidly lose patience with him, the same way he's done with Mitrovic. He doesn't want undisciplined players getting themselves suspended all the time and derailing our momentum. It wouldn't surprise me if we bought a new creative midfielder to replace Shelvey in January.

An idiotic tackle by Dummett btw, basically making this shit ref's decisions for him with that moronic move. Not actually a foul but it certainly looked like one. I didn't see the Shelvey incident but I did see the Clark goal which was 100% legal. What happened to the new rule about a foul in the box no longer meriting a red and a penalty? I thought we had decided that the penalty was enough punishment and refs were going to start issuing yellow cards?

Maybe we could loan Sels to Chapocoense, I think it would be a grand gesture of solidarity. -

Horrific shootout, the stuff of nightmares. We looked like amateurs. Gayle has been wretched this entire game. Incredibly disappointing but the cold hard truth is that we did not do enough to win. -
Pussy Grabbing Bumbaclarts vs Leeds United

I especially loved the word "scum" for Man U, as if they cared one jot about what some scabby Yorkshire-pudding-scoffing non-entities think of them. Newsflash: many modern Man U fans don't even know who Leeds United are. Most would struggle to name even one of their players. -

I correctly predicted we'd score 2 against Barnsley, don't I get a point for that? I was wrong about the 1 goal conceded like.

I think he's given us up for a lost cause at this point.

Welcome back to Tyneside lads, hope you enjoyed your stay. Leaving with nowt again. You can't even bring the ball home because Gayle's got it. -
KSA is still on here, he's quiff, just like quiff was all the other Thompers clones (CabayeAye, desmondtutu, etc etc etc.)
-
Every one of his PL appearances for us, yes. and any of his cup appearances that were televised - none comes to mind. I didn't see any of him at Coventry. And every time he's looked completely out of his depth. Understandable because he was young, and as I said, our youth coaching setup has been pretty bad in recent years. Like I said, I'd be happy to be wrong, although you seem to have already decided that I am.

The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread

Couldn't get a game for Bournemouth. I can't say I'm wild about the prospect. But we definitely need a proper and well-rounded squad to compete at this level so I think he'll be a good addition one way or the other. -
More talent than Armstrong has, yes. At his skill level, size, weight, and age, I don't think he will ever become a PL-standard player. I admit I could be wrong. Our rubbish youth setup can't have been helping him either.

Moussa Sissoko signs for Spurs for like £30m or WatEVA
acrossthepond replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
Something else that I despise. When you are a professional footballer, you have your last name on the back of your shirt. There are certain times when both names are acceptable (ex. Roberto Carlos) and certain times when your first name is acceptable (ex. Jonas, Dele, some Turks and Japanese who culturally favour their first names.) That is it. No idiotic nicknames. No "Chicharito", no "Gabigol", no "Chucho", no "Kun", nothing. Some part of your name. End of.- 1745 replies
