It definitely would have, one judge had Khan as the winner by 3 points and the other had Peterson by a point so without those points dropped he would have been a unanimous decision. To be honest I do think Khan should have been deducted one of those points because he did keep pushing despite being warned but as said Peterson should have been treated the same. Not unhappy he won though because he is a good, genuine fighter with a big heart and comes across as a very modest man.

It was close anyway but the ref certainly didn't help, he could have done more to stop Peterson going in so low every time and if he was going to dock Khan for what he was doing he should have done the same for Peterson.
