While I'm all for gentlemanly play I can't help thinking some more unscrupulous teams use the pressure put on the opposite to kick a ball out of play when one of their team is 'down'. Play acting being rife and all did we really need to put the ball out because Zlatan got taken out by an excellent takle by Terry? No, because a couple of minutes later once play has stopped and any resulting possible advantage has gone the Swede is back running full pelt without any sign of hurt.

No, at the time I posted that his leaving hadn't been confirmed and the latest report was that he was moaning about not being offered any more than a one year rolling contract. Now that it's been confirmed though, it's all gravy.

Leaving at the end of next season though, a lot can change in that time.

Got nothing to do with it, it's 100% down to the voting system and the countries allowed to compete - the political voting is a joke (yes, we do it too), bordered countries always vote for each other and they all basically dislike the UK. No idea how Sweden won mind, most of the songs from the other countries all sound the same and are dated by a good 10-20 years in style. I don't think Man Utd based their team on a massive influx of cash spent though, during the so called 'Premier League' era they started off with that core of players in Giggs, Scholes, Beckham and the Nevilles from their youth team and built from their didn't they? For me Man City's 'achievement' isn't the same, as Stevie quite rightly said you could get Stalybridge Celtic winning the league with the sort of money Man City's been throwing around.

100% how I see it, essentially winning the league by having the biggest chequebook. Sad really, not a good day for real football.
