  1. I’ll watch games that are at civilised hours but anything middle of the night can fuck off.
  2. As you know I do like a pun, especially so as it winds up a certain prophetic forum member, but I must say puns about Motown are very scarce, I only know two or thee but Four Tops.
  3. Anyone of you still on twitter and follow, or see,the PoliticsUK account ?? If so: https://bsky.app/profile/jim.londoncentric.media/post/3m74fvzam7222
  4. Some interesting points in this, when he eventually gets there. TLDW - Leazes Park seems a tad insurmountable.
  5. We need to score goals when we're on top, Prem teams (any of them) will create chances, it who takes them that's the difference.
  6. And we didn't defend it. If we'd taken the game to them and been caught on the break there'd be an equal amount of anger. We didn't win that game because Scharr came on and we sat back, we didn't win because when we were on top (and we were well on top) we couldn't create clear chances for shit. The late goals are a major problem but not if you are 3 up (or 4 in the case of at Everton).
  7. It was to give us another defender when they went four up top so we weren't left man for man across the back line. Made sense at the time and not the thing that cost us the win tbh.
  8. You’d take 7 points from Man City, Everton and Spurs any time tbh. We’re only so pissed off because we were in patches very good, there was some lovely football played and we should have been out of sight but for lack of a final killer pass, that’s the real frustration.
  9. As an aside, Gordon’s penalties are always put in the same place and way too close to the keeper, if he guesses right way he saves that.
  10. Hardly a pile of shite, we were BY FAR the better team but our final ball is still an issue, we should have put them away first half. Defensively weak, that’ll have a lot to do with CB’s and keeper having had no time to get understanding, second goal an abortion. These late goals are a real problem and probably in the players heads now which isn’t good.
  11. If you’re white you’re alright if you’re brown get outta town 🙄
  12. The laugh of it is, they’re all fucking immigrants, or descendents thereof over very few generations.
  13. Bruno getting a rest at last. (Thought that might be Burnley on Saturday tbh) Be interesting if Miley/Sandro can cover his absence adequately, Bruno/Miley combo covered for Sandro well at Everton and it’d be a big plus if it works out Bruno can be covered ok too.
  14. Just found him recently tbh, never was a big youtube watcher until recently, him and Gilmour talking pedals now 😂 Must say Gilmour seems super relaxed in this interview.
  15. If you’ve got a spare couple of hours this is a tremendous interview with David Gilmour, (the superb guitarist one not the fat mackem one) so interesting/fascinating, talks through the recording process through the years, and the associated trials and tribulations, his playing etc etc.
  16. Seems Clery and Pod on the Tyne won their respective category awards at the FSA last night !!
  17. Yeah I get that, but the way some go on is beyond me tbh.
  18. There is a project in motion, they're doing evaluations/due dilligence etc etc, we had PIF's infrastructure blokey added to the board for example. I remember the days when all that mattered were the results on the pitch and under current ownership they've never been better (well not since the 1950's) seeking some ethereal sense of commitment from the ownership is daft. Even if/when they cough up for a new stadium it means little in terms of commitment, just means they're increasing the value of their assett should they want to cash in. I personally suspect part of a delay is them looking for a development partner btw.
