Real will not extend David Beckham's contract
TheInspiration replied to Ted Maul's topic in Newcastle Forum
While Beckham is way past his best, and is extremely slow, he'll still provide end-product. We have to despair if Wright-Phillips in his current state is our best beat on the right-wing according to McLaren. Beckham will not, however, play again for England. -
Oba to be banned from International football
TheInspiration replied to smoggeordie's topic in Newcastle Forum
Oh well, it's their loss if they don't want their best player playing for them. -
If that's the case then fair play to Baba - he seemed up for it also despite a pretty poor performance.
-
I think we should sign that Bramble kid. He's caused us all sorts of problems today.

To be fair the interviewers got what they deserved for asking such stupid questions. If only more managers would.

I liked "Team A" - a genius bit of improvisation by myself.

Oba to be banned from International football

He should have stated his reasoning for not playing (a very good reason too at that), but this highlights even further what a joke the Nigerian FA are. -
You're right. He's 20.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/i...als/6322149.stm According to the Beeb the U21 defence was outfoxed by "Roberto Solano" Can he play trumpet too?

Despite the fact you were no doubt whining at how we could so nastily prize your Micky O from your hands. After all Liverpool are special and one of the big four.

Maybe he should just not pick Carr in the first place. Just a thought. -

Very promising debut I thought. It's not easy playing your first game in a back four with clowns like Bramble and Carr. Started off a bit nervy and his distribution wasn't too good, but he played well despite that I thought - seemed to win everything, despite being up against two big strong forward who are excellent in the air. No mistakes so I guess that means I good performance for a Toon player. -

Just got back from London to see the match. Arguably better in the first-half, but we were awful since. Two ridiculously soft goals, aided brilliantly from our favourite defenders Stephen and Titus. Left the ground early also as we didn't want to wait ages to leave, so we missed Oba's goal too. How miserable. Oh and Fulham fans are terrible. -
That Milner kid is crap. He can't shoot or cross or do anything good. Should have been sold to Villa.

Oh right. Cheers.

Sorry if I'm a bit late, but anyone got a radio link or stream...?

It is, but it's still disgusting tbh.

You've got to love the logic used by such people here. Chopra never looked like a Premiership player. He looked decent at the end of the season when were doing well, but only netted once and hardly ever looked a goal threat. Unlike Shola of course, who scored 7 in 14 at the end of last season. Not bad imo. I doubt anyone expected him to have scored 15 goals in the fizzy pop league at this stage, and they can be forgiven for doing so - did you think that? And were you not pleased with Shola's performances? If it was up to Roeder, Chopra would have been kept anyway - we didn't try selling him. Also if you're saying this in the wake of his hat-trick at the weekend, please remember he went on a goal drought of over ten games prior to that.
-
I disagree - he comes across as a very likeable guy. Much more so than Jeremy Clarkson, whom I agree is an obnoxious bellend, but can be very funny at times, and has a lot of interesting stuff to say. James May's just a silly greasemonkey toff tbh though.

some fine North American surnames there I'm always impressed by McBride... terrific finisher. Best header in the Prem imo. I would have signed him on a short-term contract if he was prepared to leave Fulham. Miles better than Le Sib.

Materialism: The "What have you bought?" Thread
TheInspiration replied to Tooj's topic in General Chat
Compared to KUTFALTFBL and STTAL its gash. Theres a few decent tracks on there but there is also some tragedys ''Isnt it strange'' is the worst song ever It's pretty awful yeah - I've come to realise the album really gets rubbish towards the end. Starts off very well still. Yeh im not even gonna bother seeing them on tour this to,e. they went for the commercial album and its cack Ruined the band they once were. I liked their much heavier, and in cases dark songs a lot more. -
The fact nobody has explained their reasons suggests you guys can't really think. Probably to do with him having a rubbish record before 2006, or missing a few sitters?
-
The amount of abuse he gets is apalling. And I'm not sure why. It's not his fault he's a starting striker - we know he's not good enough for that, but he's only done good things in the last year so we might as well leave it at that.
