Get a grip man FFS!

He's probably hetrosexual.... Doubted by the fact that he wears a blazer still... It's true fish is a poof but I think if you read a post from trphyshy in the sack Allardyce thread all will become clear. The part about Redknapp Jnr?

And they reckon student loans don't get wasted.... Jesus wept!

I reckon the meeting went along the lines of SAM: We need to buy Kevin Nolan Ashley: OK Ive heard enough All joking aside, I think that's probably not far from the truth. Barton may well end in the nick and I wouldn't be surprised if Sam's tried to stick a plaster over it all by signing Nolan.

Agreed that Redknapp has done a fantastic job to turn Pompey around but his track record before that wasn't so great. I don't think he's the messiah that a lot make him out to be.

Reminiscent of Souness. I'm not sure what to think if it's Hughes. I know they're not having the best of times now, but he hasn't done badly. But then again, he hasn't exactly set the world alight either. I think we could do a lot worse, but I think we could do better as well. I can't stand Hughes. Whinging tosser who thinks everyone is against him. His team play as dirty as fuck and he defends some reckless actions by his players. Besides which, he refused to come here as part of the Andy Cole deal. If we weren't good enough for you then, fuck off!

Listen at all the knackers on SSN texting in to say it's gotta be KK & Shearer.... Keegan's days as a football manager are consigned to history. He's too engaged in his soccer school nowadays and going by the interview he did a couple of years back, gets far more enjoyment from that than he ever did from football management. We need to look forward, not back...

Why does that sound sooooooo familiar..?

Agree... Remember when we sacked Robson, Souness was never shorter than about 66/1... Until the morning he was announced. Christ, I can remember that morning "Souness's odds seem to be getting shorter" "Club to make a statement soon" "Shit" Have a look here CLICKY if you want the full reminder You wanted Peasepud O'Leary..... As opposed to the guy who'll be the next Scotland manager.....? Yup! When did Mark McGhee get linked with Newcastle? Summer of 1989!

We were discussing it at work the other day and someone made a comment which made me think. The guy said Newcastle need Shearer to be manager so that it's out of the way. No matter who they appoint, the shadow of Alan Shearer will always be waiting in the wings until he's had his time in the manager's chair. Sad really..... but I fear true.

I never had you down as delusional!

You know what... I fear you might be right! The only thing that's making me think otherwise is that they've said they'll take as long as they need to and will go through the proper channels. Smacks of we're after someone who is already in a job! One of Hughes, Moyes, O'Neill, Redknapp, Curbishley, Coppell, Megson, Southgate, McLeish, Bruce, Keane, Jewell or Hodgson then?

Fuck's sake you playing right into the press's hands with this sort of carry on. We didn't get beat and conversely, it can be argued that we were unlucky not to beat them too. Amazing isn't it? Everton get beaten at home by League One opposition and Blackburn get absolutely thumped at home by a championship side. Yet it's Newcastle United that the press keep on at. And comments like this are just fuelling their fires. Do the press use this site to garner opinion? Serious question btw. Who knows.... But if you put yourself in their position, what better place to source the consenus feelings of fans of a football club than an independent forum? I'd be very surprised if the press don't have people scouring sites such as this for that very reason - although I suspect they're more likely to use N-O than here.

Yeah I agree - I know scoring wasn't Bellamy's strong point but still, people often commented that the goals 'dried up' when he was allowed to leave.

Arguably what he deserves but I fail to see what good that does the club, which is my primary concern. i can only see him getting into more trouble in the future if we hang on to him. he looks a serial offender to me and he's not even looked a good player. if it was maradona you could make an exception but i think we're better off getting rid. even if he does do the whole reform thing at tony adams' place and we keep him on, i still fully expect him to attack a teammate with a cigar or something at some stage Getting rid is different to letting him rot though, make your mind up. get rid or let him rot in the reserves. i'm not fussy. The latter is madness, totally to the detriment of the club. Throwing money away. Agree totally... I really can't understand that mentality. How would we benefit as a club? By setting a good example to every kid and club out there? Im not sure how we benefit having a criminal on the books whilst we continue to pay him £40k pw. Its not even as if hes got the skill of say bellamy or mutu. I cant see what benefit there is in keeping him!? No-one above the championship is going to pay more than £1mil for him. That's what Craig and Alex are saying though...'letting him rot' means paying him £40k a week to do fuck all. Thank god it's obvious to some - cheers Luke. Basically what you're saying is that because he's a criminal, we'll throw money away... Jesus! Tell you what, we'll have no money but at least our morals will be intact...

He averages 0.34 goals per league game. Compare that with Martins who averages 0.31 goals per league game but them Martins had that spell at Inter when he bagged 28 goals in 48 games. Contrast that with Craig Bellamy (who couldn't put a foot wrong to a lot of people) whos average is 0.33 per game.

....which was sadly about as common as rocking horse shit under a blue moon in a month of Sundays.... Very gifted player who simply couldn't be arsed most of the time - what a waste. And exactly the type of player I'd say Derby don't need right now...
