Is this still the bitter undertones of us not getting Kuyt?

Or top row on the left?

By the way, can you let me have that back anytime soonish please. 184968 Think you can change your avatar now theres a pic of Martins with the nufc on .cock not wearing it like 184977 Your avatar could probably be updated tbh. 184982 You missed out on one of these Alex....

Looks weird seeing our number nine shirt without the name 'SHEARER' on it. Probably doesn't help that it's the same shirt as last season though.... 184940 Shearer's a legend and will never be forgotten, but its time to move on, I can only see the continued Shearer worship being detrimental to the current squad. 184952 Oh I totally agree. It's just visually it looks weird - guess that's what happens when you've had a player at the club for so long. Man Utd fans probably feel similar about Carrick wearing 16.

Seems like only yesterday....

Wasn't there a rumour last week that Zog had finally signed it? .COM are reporting that his contract runs to 2009 although they do say 'tbc'.

The confusion is resolved, he's 21 years old and 28 inches high 184381 184401 And a few years ago......

Gemmill's tackle on Isegrim was far worse tbh 184622 He tried to kill me IIRC, I definitely heard him shout 'Take this you penalty scoring Kraut bastard". I should report him to the police tbh. 184638 Seeing as you and I were both on the exiles team, you have a willing, credible witness too!

Is this different to an ornanogram?

I only went in that stand once - Boxing Day 1986, we lost 4-0 to Everton. Abiding memory is everyone stamping their feet simulataneously and the whole fucking thing felt like it was gonna collapse!

Wasn't that Gazza's first game for Spurs after leaving us? I remember him being pelted with frozen mars bars from the gallowgate corner

21 184560 or it might be 28! On a serious note, the fact that his squad number has not been confirmed makes me wonder if we are indeed in the market for another striker who may well end up with the no. 9 shirt with Martins taking 30?

Gemmill's tackle on Isegrim was far worse tbh On a serious note, Thatcher is a dirty shite-bag and I hope they thow the book at him for this one - fucking disgraceful!

Inferior to last year's win over them tbh

I can completely understand parents wanting the absolute best education for their children, it's the 'pushy parents' thing that I have more of a problem with. There was a family on the programme where the father was making his son attend 2 lots of private evening tutorials per week as well as 3 hours of revision per evening, 7 days a week to ensure his kid passed the entrance exam for the school he wanted him to go to. At one point they were having a normal conversation, the child said something and his father barked at him "What have I told you about mixing up your tenses when you're speaking?!" This child was about 10 years old and hadn't once been asked what HE wanted to do with his life or where he wanted to go to school. His father was completely obsessed with the child spending every spare moment learning at the expense of any kind of social activity. He had done this for a year before the exam for his child's "own good" 183911 Then the child will surely end up rebelling against it or, at best possible scenario, will be saturated with knowledge? You should guide kids, but they should be the driving force, even at this age.

Hehe - we've just fought tooth and nail to get Charlotte into the school of our choice. I'd have 'whored' myself and lived in a cardboard box for the rest of my days to try to avoid her going in the school we're in the catchment area for - it's the lowest ranked on in Hampshire. Personally I don't see an issue in trying to get your child in the school of your choice, however I do see the problem some people have in non-Catholics sending their kids to Catholic schools just because of the quality. Wasn't there an Indian family not long back who converted religions just to get to a school which was connected to a church?

Fucking hell Pud either you're extremely bored or becoming extremely worrying...

I may be wrong but didn't Quinn back McCarthy 100% over the whole incident before the 2002 World Cup?

A statement released on Wednesday evening confirmed that Sir Bobby Robson's operation to remove a cancerous tumour from his brain tumour had gone according to plan earlier in the day. The 73 year-old is said to be stable in hospital as he recovers from the op. A further bulletin is expected to be issued on Thursday. Earlier in the day Newcastle manager Glenn Roeder spoke about his predecessor: "I have spoken to Sir Bobby in the last couple of days, and I am glad I managed to get through to him. "I left a message on his mobile and typically of Sir Bobby, he called me back and we had a chat. "He asked me a few questions about having the brain operation, and hopefully I allayed any fears that concerned him about after the operation when you wake up. "It's the only time in my life I have been able to give him a spot of advice because any other time, I was always ringing him up. "I can particularly remember when I was at West Ham doing that a few times and coming off the phone and thinking, `I have not got any problems because there is this man is approaching his 70th birthday with such enthusiasm for life`. "When I spoke to him, he sounded very enthusiastic, as always, and very positive, as he always is. "Of course, everyone at Newcastle United - and that is not just the people in the club, it's all our supporters and everyone who has got anything to do with Newcastle United -has their fingers crossed that he has a successful operation and comes back into football. "I do not see Sir Bobby Robson ever retiring from football. One of the questions he asked was `How quickly did you go back to work?` "I know what he was implying, he was thinking of how quickly he will be able to go back to work for Ireland. "It's fingers crossed and let's hope all is well at the end of it and he moves on into a fairly new football career working with Ireland."
