This is just another example of people not understanding his track record. He glosses over the fact that, despite all the "attacking verve", West Ham tanked in the last half of the season, and their supporters and owners could not get rid of him soon enough. As for Sunderland dramatically improving "almost immediately after he joined", that was in October, and they finished 2 points above relegation - absolutely stunning!

Will this not be the first time that Spurs will finish above them in the Premier League? That is probably the more relevant point to Arsenal fans, rather like the "top dog trophy" stuff from the makems -

Agreed, if they had the option, but they stopped it becoming automatic, which is the point, I think.

Steve McClaren sacked as Newcastle United 'Head Coach' (Manager)
RobinRobin replied to Tooj's topic in Newcastle Forum
Precisely. People were saying we could not get a good manager, because there would be no money to spend, but here we are with one of the top-spending teams in the World, and we have a manager who was sacked by a club which could not even get promoted from the Championship. -
I watch the games, get excited that this time, finally, it is all going to click, and then I am let down. I don't really want relegation, but, frankly, I don't care anymore. Hey, ho. Fox Sports in Oz has lost the Premier League for the next couple of years, so I would probably see much less than I do now. Knowing my luck, they will focus on the Championship instead and it will be the same cycle again, watching them fall into League 1, while still getting excited that this time, finally, it is all going to click, and we will be promoted - which we won't.

Hopefully that is the part of him we will get. At least he will be able to take a free kick which does not involve lobbing it to the goalkeeper!

Don't mention the war -
But he is our "scout" and a lot of the recent options appear not really to be up to it. I accept that he does not sign them, and may be putting forward other, more expensive or older options, but surely he is also recommending the likes of Thauvin, Cabella, De Jong, etc, who while they may be well-credentialed overseas, do not appear to be able to handle the Premier League (or even Division 2, or wherever Sheffield Wednesday are now)

Foxtel does a pretty good job, with the Rugby Championship, Super 15, NRC, ITM Cup, Currie Cup, as well as every match of the World Cup, most of the 6 Nations, and various rugby related programmes throughout the year.

West Ham United v Newcastle United 14/9/15 20:00 KO (On Sky)

I know he was at fault on Monday, but he looks as though he knows how to take a free kick or corner, which does not involve floating it across for goalkeeping practice -
