Carry on
-
Totally agree-came into the season with no time - bought a few players and had them playing some really good stuff - then undermined for the second half of the season when it was obvious they needed to strengthen but still had a good season despite all that - not that there is any point arguing his case as there is no chance of him coming here
-
Compared to who? Roeder? Allardyce? Souness? Kinnear? U. J. Cobley? eriksson did shite at city. spent big and had a fucking awful second half of the season. for the amount of money he spent city should have maintained the progress they made in the first half of the season.... and he's not doing too clever with mexico, either. a few games away from the sack apparently.. Aye and city are doing so much better now that they fucked him off

Ashley to try to halt season ticket sale decline...
Norbert Colon replied to smoggeordie's topic in Newcastle Forum
Well it is true-we have seen worse or at least those of us 30 plus will remember seeing worse but that is hardly any kind of comfort though is it - and as for expecting it overnight - howabout 12 months because that is how long it took you to completely fuck it - the stupid fuckwits had the biggest season ticket seller this club could ever have and they fucked him off and then they cry that not enough zebras(their terminology) aren't herding into the ground - give your heads a shake man £85 to take my lads to the game on average and it shames me to say that not only do sunderland cost less but also give better value for money -
You mean when he played for Garford Town? He was thin as a rake when he played properly. The sixty fags a day he smoked would have helped supress his appetite but the tide of middle age spread cannot be halted
-
My dad reckons Jimmy Scoular was pretty good at dishing it out like - recent times i would say Batty or jones
-
I don't agree with you over him doing a good job after Souness, I'm firmly of the belief that the decent spell at that time was more to do with Shearer helping him out - it wasn't until he went it alone that it started to go down hill. I think you are spot on there - once shearer went Roeder reverted to type (a strange, indecisive, nancy boy type) - his dithering over transfers cost us in europe and i still maintain that if he had signed sol campbell we would have beat alkmaar
-
You should have heard the obsequious tones when Mark Saggers et al were discussing it on Radio 5 last night. If it was us they'd have been ripping the piss but it was all "This is so exciting, who will they get in?" Etc. I realise we aren't the same boat as Chelsea btw before someone points that out. Too right - never alluded to either of them being deluded or divine righters - that kerry dixon was saying about the football being shite for the last 2 months and how scolari deserved it - bloody hell everton were fuckin atrocious under moyes for months and months at a time but he pulled it round
-
I hope he is ok but this surely throws any long term contract talk into doubt - its hardly the best job to be in if you are walking a tightrope with regards to your health - it maybe a blessing in disguise in that he may not continue after this season and a management change will be forced upon the owner

Ashley to address fans at end of transfer window
Norbert Colon replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
I reckon the ham fisted pr machine may go into overdrive soon - resulting in a clumsy attempt to appease the fans with promises of signings in the summer if we can just hold on to our premier league status - kinnear will rue over missed targets and maybe the odd foreign buyer will be thrown in to get our hopes up - ultimately though if we stay up i will wager we will be sat here at the end of the summer window feeling exactly the same -
Absolutely unbeleivable if this goes through - no disrespect to wigan but they are fucking wank - who the hell is advising him? Laurent Robert all over again - enjoy the descent charles
-
Whilst i don't disagree that a man such as hansen has the right to point out poor defensive play within his analysis of a game i do , however, think that it is wrong of him to ridicule and select clips to destroy a player - he is doing this more regularly and openly laughing about a fellow professionials performance is poor
-
It's in the mix. Know nothing about him, anyone? Good Player - not quick but clever - playmaker type went to derby from notts forest - i like him - and while i was at it i would take nathan tyson fron forest
-
Aye - on a four and a half year contract as well means you could get well lumbered with zero re-sale value-i rate him but not for that kind of money
-
You would have thought he was too old and expensive to fit into the current way of thinking but after hearing kinnear chuntering on about barry ferguson i would assume you could knock the old bit of that theory on the head - anybody wanting more than 40k pw is taboo for us i reckon
-
He's a piss head. Apparently not pissed enough to think coming to newcastle would be a good idea
-
Yeah ugly, Luis Garcia. Spanish media linked him with Newcastle heavily recently. Hope it isn't true as the guy is truly, shockingly, woefully rank rotten. which luis garcia? there are a few The shit one ffs. Keep up. The Atletico Madrid one.
-
He can drink more than both of them put together allegedly
-
Run up hills and as you run down them do 25 yard sprint shuttles back up (start low but build up over time) - do basic core weight training excercises with weights that only allow you to do 5-6 reps per set (do 3 sets) things like flat bench press, squats etc and eat porridge for breakfast, some tinned fish with healthy carbs for lunch and chicken and carbs fot dinner. snack only on fruit and drink lots of water. Runn 5 times per week and weight train for an hour three times per week
-
Although we maybe in the shake up at the end I still think we will be ok - Boro are shitting themselves and I reckon sunderland may awake to the fact that s'bragia isn't the answer - add to that wba, stoke, hull and portsmouth who are either running out of luck or have had their purple patches and finally chuck spurs into it who are doing their utmost to go down (hilarious to think that they were going for 4th - fuckin hell what a bunch of twats - and they call us deluded)
-
There's some people who sit near me at the match who've been going longer than I've been alive and they're clueless as well. I think that while he is not to blame for the situation at the club he is quite clearly nowhere near the quality of manager we should be trying to attract and now he's been offered a new deal. That's where the anger comes from. His four years out of the game speaks volumes (something else he's felt the need to lie about btw). Whilst i agree with your overall sentiment in that I don't think it is the progressive long term appointment we were all hoping for and an extension to his contract is very disappointing i just think that the negative slating that he gets on here is sometimes a bit much - he may be Ashleys puppet and talk shite - yes i agree - but to disregard his entire career as an irrelevance (not you, just in general) just reinforces the stereotype that everyone outside the club have of our fans
-
So has Barry Fry, it doesn't mean that he is good enough to be our manager. Though right now we couldn't expect to attract anyone better given the mockery of a setup we have at the club. Quite correct but because Barry Fry hasn't managed at the highest level it is a moot point
-
No point panicking yet - we outplayed blackburn for alot of the game just didn't go our way due to a dodgy penalty decision and they got some momentum after that - we are going through our bad patch - it'll pick up - joe is right - its not his fault and he is having a go at the owner - rightly so - but the slagging he gets on here is shocking - clueless? he has been in the game longer than most of you have been alive man - get a grip ffs

Besiktas-bound Geremi pulls out of Hull clash
Norbert Colon replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
Apparently they askedhim to do four 50yard shuttles to prove his fitness on thursday - he should be finished soon -
We knew it was coming - Kinnear offered new contract
Norbert Colon replied to Snake's topic in Newcastle Forum
Not enough to blot this lot out - i'll keep me powder dry till the end of the window but christ on a bike where are we heading?
