A draw was compeltely the fair result, because when we gifted them the freedom of our goal they took their chances, then when we finally got of our arses and played a bit of football we scored and then when we were dominating we scored a second. After that the game degenerated a bit and both teams to be fair were trying to win and both teams easilly could have. We hit the post, their keeper made some instinctive saves from Martins and they had their chances as well, so it was a fair result. Though the same people as usual will claim as always that we were lucky, we weren't we took 2 chances and they did. Unless their goal was wrongly disallowed then luck has nowt to do with it. And for our first goal, we saw against Brum that apparently you can stand 2 yards offside AND obstruct a keeper from moving, so what we got today wasn't even close to that!

He started anythign decent we did with the ball, when Given finally realised passing it to Nobby is better than humping it up to our small strikeforce. He was also the only defender who was doing any sort of job at the back early on when we gave them goals and was stopping their attacks with well timed cynical fouls instead of everyone elses method of letting players roll past you or just not marking them! And he was one of the few at the back who seemed to be helping others by actually talking to them, because our team must'nt be speaking to each other the way they leave each other exposed by never giving anyone a shoit! Thought we looked better at the back when Edgar came on than we had been before.

???????? for all the bad crosses at which he is adept Its really beginning to spoil all the hard work Millner does get through. But under no pressure he consitently puts in some of the worst crosses i've seen and yet once a game will usually ping over a quality cross showing he can do it. Today i personally would give hin the credit on the goal of having a shot or at the least hitting a cross shot that he knew had a chance of going in direct or being deflected. I think he probably meant it and if it had of been a cross it would have hit the first man! Nobby played really well, started anything good we did from the back and defended like a proper defender, he did his usual work intelligently at the back and got in at least 4 cynical fouls i noticed to stop the opposition attacks but never enough for a yellow, quality stuff! Dyer and Martins need better (or indeed any) service from the team to utilize how dangerous they are, but they ended up having to come deeper and deeper for the ball when we needed them further up.

I remember watching some programme on CH4 and they were interviewing Ritchie Blackmore (in full black medieval outfit of course!) and they asked him whether he was bothered about Spinal tap making fun and having amps going up to 11 and he said: "i didn't mind...mine went up to 12!"

And a small minority of Gillingham and Watford supporters liked him as well, in the same manner as yourself I presume. Nice guy doing his best. Some knackers still respect Souness and felt that he may yet have come good had fates not conspired against him. The still both failed and the idea that people should forget about their records is just bollocks. Roeder and his sponsor have a long long way to go before persuading many of us that they deserve much faith, and sadly games like last wednesday don't do a lot to help matters. Had Souness stayed,he may well have brought us the Championship trophy this season. I don't think you get a trophy for finishing bottom of the championship!

Its a myth usually put about my losing managers after a match, i thought as chief cynic on this board you wouldn't swallow it from them! If you dominate for 90 mins and piss away your chances, or the opposition keeper and defender keep you out and do their job it has nowt to do with luck. If the other team has one single shot on target but scores, its not luck, they did their job and you didn't. If a ref shafts your team then yes you can say you didn't get what you deserved, or some incredibly flukey deflection maybe, but anythign other than that and you get the score you deserve.

An alltime classic, i'd give it 11 out of 10!!! Also on the dvd the commentary is done by them in character watching the doccumentary years later and is class as well!
-
Not sure, they could destroy an absolutely woeful team on their home patch and still lose 3-2. But no, they're lucky aren't they? Yeah, terrible luck when you miss chances you're paid to score, the keeper saves shots as he's meant to and you get away with an offside opening goal and a blatant sending off, they're just cursed wiht bad luck aren't they!
-
Any of those lines by Lloyd Bridges are comedy gold, and when combined with the state of him after taking the stuff it just gets better!
-
"Sorry, I'm going to be terribly rude, did you or did you not start an international race hate war?" They should get Paxman to do it, pay him whatever it takes to get over the fact he hates this kind of shit and get him out there!
-
I think i read somewhere that they're taking them straight to a "de-briefing" about exactly what's been going on outside and so by the time they come to do any sort of interview, (and with Davina in charge it won't exactly be Paxman), they will be ready to mount a defence of their behaviour etc.
-
You've just made that up. And yet you could easilly imagine uefa doing something so stupid!
-
I hadn't though of that, but since you mention it, why not!
-
I think Hargreaves has shown what he can do in his proper position and he'd be a good signing, but Bayern would be mad to turn down £20m for him!!!
-
What a bunch of bottlers! The one thing that may have been worth watching in this complete mess would be any of the arseholes coming out and getting some serious shit from the crowd on their way to see Davina who would then no doubt fawn over them and kiss their arse.

That makes far more sense, but then this is UEFA we're talking about!

I was going to be shocked then remembered you don't watch subtitled films. It's brilliant. Yes, definitely watch Battle Royale, though apparently you should avoid the sequel as nobody seems to rate that at all. -
I can see where you're coming from but not in Roeder's eyes. Luque wasn't even on the bench on Wednesday and Lua Lua (who's 16) was. I just reckon Carr at RB, Nobby RW and Milner on the left would be better than having Pattison in. That's not a kneejerk reaction to Wednesday either, Pattison's looked dreadful in all the games I've seen him play in recently. I agree about Pattison but tbf to the lad he's not a winger and from what I can see he's not even a particularly attacking player who you can use on the wing (someone like Dyer) so I never understood playing him there in the first place. Seriously though, I'd rather play Butt in defence to allow Nobby to move forward than let Carr anywhere near the team. Yeah, Patterson has looked terrible but its not all his fault. He looks like a limited hard working central midfielder (not prem standard) and is always going to struggle when asked to play on the wing. Now away from home he's putting him there to help out defnsively as well, though i still wouldn't pick him there, but to play him as a winger at home was a bad decision.
-
No idea what team we will see out there and with out injury porblems i doubt Roeder will be sure untill as late as possible to see who makes it. But whatever team plays i am confident of a win after the Brum game giving them a kick up the arse.

"Fack off Miwna!" What a bunch of cockney wankers. How anyone who speaks English can come out with the words "Fack of Miwna" defies belief. Also why do nearly all cockneys think TH is pronounced F, the fick bastards! -

Read a review in the Guardian which was full of high praise. Fancy seeing it myself. I went to see it at the weekend, it was excellent - particularly the peformance from Forest Whitaker. To be fair Forest Whitaker's career peaked with his debut as an undercover cop in Bloodsport, he's never going to be in a better film than that!!! -
I had a look at the Spurs board yesterday, a good number of the fans on there are less biased than that prick. He really will take some beating, though sadly another journo will no doubt top that effort sooner rather than later!
-
Its only his first season, in what's mostly been a team playing poorly and not to his strengths, yet he's scored goals, set up goals and showed plenty of raw talent. What needs to be worked on is his movement and running and at times his composure but he has shown more than enough to suggest he has what it takes in terms of ability, and increasingly coping with the style of the premiership.
-
Thats what i think. His shot stopping is awesome and importantly he also gets the ball out of danger and away when he saves as he has strength behind his saves. But to be the no.1 he needs to command his box better, and work on his distribution.

The sun article just sums up the cockney media in this country and what a bunch of pricks they are. When you look on a Spurs message board and then at the article you struggle to spot which is the bitter ranmblings of sad Spurs fans and which is supposed to be the work of a proffesional, national journalist! Even if the article had been that much in favour of us (never happen obviously!) i'd still have said the bloke should be sacked as its embrassing journalism.
