  1. Bobby Shinton in a pre season friendly against... the mackems.
  2. Counter attack with pace from Elanga and CHO. Hitting a big man (in the form of his life). Support from willing runners (MGW, Anderson). Dirty bastard in the middle. Defensively resolute, with special mention to Murillo who is by far their best defender. Consistent 11. We showed the blueprint to beat them; Be physical in the middle of the park, peg back their fullbacks, 'professional' fouls to stop any counter attack, quick breaks of your own.
  3. This was from 3rd of January. I can't imagine it's changed significantly. Title is all but certainly going to end up at Anfield. Analysts still think Forest will drop off, but they haven't a particularly bad run of fixtures ahead of them. Their worst run of games is coming up at the end of January through to early March. But even then, Bournemouth, Brighton and Fulham are all eminently beatable for a side that likes to play on the counter. This season is pretty similar to the 15/16 season. Two of the "big 6" having absolutely honking seasons and the other 4 having, by their standards, middling-to-poor point returns. A lot of stodge in the middle of the table. Some traditionally midtable sides having poor seasons. The surprise team that barely survived relegation in the previous season suddenly making a tilt to the top spot. And that team being reliant on a counter attack style that appears to be catching everyone off guard.
  4. As long as we keep within a goal of them, I'd fancy us to get past them at SJP. I also think that Arteta's eyes will be on the Champions League, staying as close to Liverpool as possible in the league, and the more prestigious FA Cup.
  5. And, as we know, contracts in football are signed in blood, never to be broken.
  6. Especially if it was down to a dodgy penalty awarded to Man City against, ohhhh lets say Everton.
  7. I don't think there's any appetite to sack him. Pep is surely, SURELY, fucking off at the end of this season. That leaves a giant chasm to fill and Arteta is one of the managers better positioned to fill it. He's got form for this sort of thing. After banging your mam! Heyoooohhhhhh
  8. If the owners at Arsenal are putting pressure on Arteta, I don't think they'll be mollified by a League Cup win.
  9. Liverpool fan I know said the result against Man Utd wasn't so bad because "no other team capitalised, unless we're saying Man City are still in it". Boy oh boy, the speed I c&p-ed the league table. Brother, it would have made your head spin clean off.
  10. Aye, but he's one of those players who can seem to do fuck all for 90 minutes, then bang in a goal or two. Haaland is the same. I must make this bet every match, and every match I win. Got this one as well, Nice little top up for the Comic book kitty.
  11. They couldn't fuck it all up, could they?
  12. Then 😂 fuck off 😂
  13. Sels was turboturd when he was here.
  14. Micky van de Ven Richarlison Guglielmo Vicario Ben Davies Cristian Romero Wilson Odobert Destiny Udogie Rodrigo Bentancur All out for them. Plus Big Ange just said that their squad has been hit by a sickness bug (hangover) so a few have missed training as well.
  15. Don't they have that Scottish lad who is apparently the greatest player to ever do anything ever?
  16. You tell 'em KD! Some of these cunts don't know they're born. Lounging around while we've been at work*. *If by "at work" you mean logged on in the home office, doing fuck all.
  17. Think it puts Ipswich's "failure" and Chelsea's "Success" into context. Ipswich matching only 3% of Chelsea's wage bill.
  18. I've only been off on the bank holidays and weekends me ol' mucker. If you wanna be the best, if you wanna beat the rest, Automation's what you need.
  19. We've watched seasons 1 and 2 of Shrinking on Apple tv over Christmas. Really enjoyed it. Apple is consistently putting out good tv without much fanfare. Weird.
