  1. Heard this mentioned/referenced a lot, but I've no idea what the fuck it is?
  2. Every planet? So gas giants devoid of life save for Jeezy Creezy?
  3. Well, if PIF and by extension KSA have a vested interest in the Premier League product they'll not be keen on people stealing it. The minute PIF are owners of a PL club they'll want to protect their investment. Reject the bid and there'll be no reason for them to clamp down on piracy. Especially if they can make money off it by BeOUTQ-style boxes.
  4. They should have. BEIN are a preferred broadcast partner and spent £500m for broadcast rights. It should have been clear that Qatar were going to kick up a stink about KSA owning a PL club. With that in mind any decent counsel would have advised a way to navigate the pushback so that PIF appear reasonable and BEIN appear as the bad guys. Make anti-piracy measures part of the bid, don't ban BEIN from broadcasting until after the bid goes through, make sure the named directors are sufficiently distanced from the issues that may cause a problem. If you want to bring on people whose inclusion may cause issue, do it after the bid has gone through so there's more pressure to allow it. Hell, I would have advised that Staveley and Ruebens buy the club themselves (the Ruebens would have been accepted without any issue), get the sponsorship from PIF & Saudi companies to inflate the coffers, then add PIF as part-owners after a season or two. After KSA have bid for the MENA rights and sorted the anti-piracy measures.
  5. I don't think the PL give a shit about Newcastle United fans, or the success of the team on the pitch. As it stands they've got a club that's focused chiefly on financial security, which is fine by them. I would say though, PIF and Staveley have made a fucking mess of the bid. Any decent counsel would have foreseen the piracy issues, the questions over the directors and so on. Doesn't fill me with confidence.
  6. Yeah, 2 on 1 is bullshit, unless Tommy's an Autobot?
  7. There'll be plenty sacking off a home game against Shrewsbury Town in favour of Mandy's Mags. Especially young kids and those from the border tribes.
  8. Forrest Gump ran it 4 times over.
  9. Yosemite - Boston, sure you don't want to visit places a little further apart?
  10. He reduced their losses man! They only lose £5m a season now.
  11. Take their guns. They're totally fine with that.
  12. Asked some of them on RTG, and they say that the low attendance figures and low number of people renewing for another season in League 1 is a protest. Not because people are apathetic, no no no, it's a protest.
  13. Shouldn't impact your visit unless you get drawn into a political conversation with locals. Although, politics is a favourite topic, to be fair.
  14. Fuck me. They've not protested, they've not boycotted, the worst they've done is not be there.
  15. Must be annoying that their bitter rivals predicted what would happen with these two chancers in charge of their club. It must be so annoying.
  16. Probably not. Wouldn't expect to hear anything until the fixtures are done and dusted, at least.
  17. Don't disagree, but the difference between our first team and City's kids is smaller than with their second string of full international £40m players.
  18. Bit of a stroppy cunt, aren't you Sammy?
  19. Wouldn't have a huge issue with it if there were also restrictions on who you could name for the bench. Certain ratio of young lads must be included? Something to sort-of level the playing field? As it stands it's a massive fuck you to clubs without £100m of talent waiting for their 15 minute cameo.
  20. Both ambitious and would want to progress in their own way. Slow and steady incremental improvements from Benitez, predicated on a solid defence. Reach for the stars excitement from Keegan, predicated on fucking loads of attackers.
