what would it take to renew your excitement for next season?
David Kelly replied to Dr Gloom's topic in Newcastle Forum
There's always an element of excitment at the start of a new season regardless of what is happening at the club (even after relegation it was there to an extent). So I expect to have some of that but a depressing summer of making no signings (I believe this is next to impossible though) would severely test me. For any chance of some real excitement though, Pardew needs to be sacked and we need to make some strong moves on the transfer front. I have massive doubts that either of these will happen and think it's most likely that we'll be allowed to drift. The departure of Ashley would really lift everyone though but the only way (other than his death) that I can see that happening in anything like the short term, would be him focussing his attentions on Rangers and there being some FIFA/UEFA/FA reason for not allowing him to control both clubs. -
Isn't that the point? The whole films a comedy anyway. The show looks quite canny. Didn't think I'd like Freeman at all after the first ten minutes but by the end I thought he was fine. And after seeing the trailler with the bit where Billy Bob get's pulled over, I thought he was going to be wank in it but I thought he was excellent.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
David Kelly replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Unfortunately this is something the club has never been very good at. This is why too many of our supporters are blissfully unaware of the some of the most important figures in the clubs history. As a side to this, it's nice to read today that Hughie Gallagher is being inducted into the National Football Museum's hall of fame alongside another striking legend of ours and some little cunt who never bothered for us at all.- 10610 replies

It's really only that I think Sissoko is capable of more why I would say he's been disapointing. I feel he has the attributes to really boss the midfield but he's not done that enough. Maybe I'm expecting too much from him. But I agree he's one of the only ones that I think can produce anything going forward.

Yep, that's just the vibe I'm talking about

I didn't really think it was rape myself. She was trying make out that she didn't want it but clearly did. I realise this comes accross as more than a bit rapey from me but you have to consider this is a brother and sister who have been fucking each other for years (oh and of course it's not real!)

Debuchy has been good for the most part this season. Clearly our best player behind Cabaye and Remy. Williamson has done well for his limited ability. Tiote has massively improved since his poor performance last term but he has tailed away somewhat since Cabaye has gone (doesn't surprise me in the least given we've been a farce since then). Gouffran started well but has looked very poor recently and in fact done very little since the turn of the year. Sissoko has been a big part of the team and created a fair bit but I think he's been overall disapointing. This may very well be due to him never playing in his right position. Fuck knows what that is at this stage though. Krul has been poor apart from the Spurs away game when he was unbelievable. Colo has been poor of late. I'm wondering whether he has lost a bit of appetite or just faith in the manager. Anita looks out of his depth at the moment but that's no doubt got a lot to do with the incomplete team we have and the incompetent manager. Cisse's goal return has been shocking but there have been several times recently when I've thought he's been our best player. Really he's only been in the team when we've been struggling though so you have to consider that. Santon has stuggled I think. He doesn't really seem to have progressed much since we signed him. He is only about the same age as Dummet (I agree with Jamouse's opinion of him) though so I don't think he's a right off by any means. HBA has been poor any way you look at it. I think Pardew has a lot to do with that (playing him as a striker is stupid as is bringing him on for ten minutes at the end and expecting him to change a game then complaining that he loses the ball when he's trying too hard to produce some magic) but he has to stand up and take responsibility too. He seems to have lost all interest now and I really can't see him playing for us again. Mbiwa had started playing well when he took over from Colo. It was a little unfair on him to lose his place in the team (but he can't play with Colo so it's understandable that happened). He is not a fullback though and has pretty much looked awful every time he plays there. Still think he can do it for us in the centre as long as hes paired with someone like Williamson (though preferably better) who will be more up for the physical battle. De Jong has looked awful. I wouldn't sign him for free and it really does concern me that our scouts suggested someone who looks so completely out of his depth in the premier league (actually he's starting to look like he's never played football before). I'm extremely worried that we will actually sign him too.

Aidan Gillan seems to be doing something weird with his voice in the latest episode like.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
David Kelly replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
I somehow picked up last seasons ticket when I left the house yesterday. Had to go round to the ticket office to get a paper replacement. I was just waiting for them to charge me for it. If they had there was no way I would have been in the ground. Unfortunately they gave me it for nowt. I've never been so disengaged with match as I am now.- 10610 replies

Better manager but another cunt who plays shite football. At least his teams have some kind of style of play and his players know what they're supposed to be doing.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
David Kelly replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Unfortunately that didn't happen until the end of the game. I just wish Swansea had scored earlier so the anger could have came out during the match. But it was yet more apathy rather than anger that reigned yesterday.- 10610 replies

I don't even think the Huddersfield fans rated Clarkie. He wouldn't get a look in if he weren't an ex player. I'd Laudrup in a heartbeat but I don't think he'd come.- 10610 replies

I think it's quite possible he's a bit of twat tbh like. But he plays up to that on this and it works really well.

The Trip To Italy has been excellent so far if you like Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon acting as themselves while do impressions of Roger Moore and Michael Caine.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
David Kelly replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
He's lost everyone now it seems apart from the one man who can do anything about it. I've given up hope of Ashley going now. It will no doubt happen someday but I honestly believe we can't do anything to make it happen any faster. So trying to get him to replace Pardew with someone the players can believe in and who has some actual tactical idea, is the best we can hope for. We're way past the time that we should be worried about any replacement being worse because at this stage, unless Ashley (like some believe)actually wants to make our lives miserable, the amount of people who could do worse is so small it's almost impossible that Ashley will find him!- 10610 replies

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
David Kelly replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Aye we might as well play Mbiwa now. At least he might want to try and play for his future. Mind you with that fucking moron managing them I'd be surprised if anyone bothers again this season.- 10610 replies

Didn't we put him in goal when he was on trial for us as a bairn?

In the respect of a new buyer, I think we'd be better off having a real loan from a bank. That would mean the prospective buyer would only have to pay the value of the club and then keep paying off the loan. As it is, they would (I assume) have to pay off the loan to the fat cunt as well.

Best crosser of a ball I've ever seen play for us too.

Torres has only had 4 seasons in which he's scored more than 20 goals. Shearer had 11 including 4 where he scored more than 30 (compared to Torres' 1). There really is no comparrison (well other than the one I just made) between the two of them. If Torres was ever worth £50m (he wasn't really) then Shearer at the time we signed him was worth twice that.

Given that the club have now admitted that all the Sports Direct free advertising is in lieu of any interest on the loans that Ashley has made to the club, has anyone calculated the difference in what we are losing and gaining on this? Whilst I'm not saying the overall point about lost commercial income isn't valid, the amount we're saving on interest surely must be considered against it.

Newcastle have become a club that “exists to exist,” That is, depressingly, excactly how I see the club at the minute. A football club should be striving towards a goal and a club of our size should be striving to get as close to the top of the league as possible and aiming to win any cup competition we enter. But when the guy at the top isn't interested you get what you have now.
