Pickford's save of a ball that was going wide took the game to extra time. If the daft cunt had just let it go out for a goal kick we could have seen the game out.

The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread 2018 -2019

Ki having a medical ahead of a free transfer from Swansea. I always thought he was a pretty decent player but shopping in the bargain basement again doesn't bode well. -
I don't think Pope looks that great tbh. My brother in law is from Burnley and he doesn't think he's a patch on Heaton. He's undoubtedly done well this season but I think he's been helped by the way Burnley are set up. They allow quite a few shots but not from area's where their keeper has to make really good saves. So he just makes a high number of saves you would really expect to see a decent keeper make. Butland looks far and away the best of the bunch for me.

Maybe he's hiding with Steve Smith in Canada?

Big Trouble In Little China is another 80's classic along with everything John Hughes did (apart from Home Alone).

I do love that like. It would be the best shirt we've had in years.

My thoughts exactly. -
I instantly thought of this.

I'm not sure he faced a ball in the first over actually Another excellent performance. I think we're only ranked 5th in T20's but I suspect we will move much closer to number 1 if we actually put any effort into it.
-
That's surely got to be a wind up.
-
How would that be considered a fuck up?
-
Buttler to open in the T20 tonight. Makes sense given his form in the IPL and ODI's. I fully expect a first over duck.

I watched and enjoyed the first episode of Kobra Kai too. Can't imagine there's much point to watching it without having seen the original Karate Kid. It's years since I watched it though so I've no idea how it stands up now let alone if it would stand up to a first time viewing. I'd give it a go though since it was great fun back in the day. The first episode of new series where Paul Whitehouse takes Bob Mortimer fishing was pretty good. A bit like a more real Trip. I'd watch anything with Bob Mortimer in though so I'm biased.

Merino seems to want to go because he's not been getting a game. And you can't really blame him for that, but whilst I don't think you could argue Shelvey and Diame deserved to stay in the team in the second half of the season, I do wonder if there was a bit more too it with Merino not even getting on the bench for quite a few games. -

Oceans 8. Pony -
Unreal performance from Buttler yesterday.

I was thinking Marvel had went very left field for the title of their latest sequel for a moment there.

Hereditary. Whilst nowhere near as embarrassingly bad as I found Mother (the other recently lauded horror), I don't think the laughter that greeted several moments or the end of the film were what the makers had in mind. I can't really understand the praise (I've seen it called this generations The Exorcist) it's received. The creepiest thing about it was the daughter, and that's just the way she looks as far as I can gather. If you're a horror fan, which I'm not, I can't imagine this will satisfy in terms of jumps or gore. And if you're not it doesn't produce in terms of plot. Disappointing. -
Really impressive batting performance yesterday. This is clearly not Australia's best side and I have no doubt that Smith and Warner will be welcomed back into the team once their suspensions are up along with the three fast bowlers when they are fit. But of course we are also missing two very important players in Stokes and Woakes and we shouldn't forget that we thrashed them in Australia when those players were available. It's also good to see Ali doing so well with the ball at the moment. I think if we are to win the world cup next year, him and Rashid will have to do well for us. I wonder whether the ICC will look to make any changes to the format of ODI's any time soon. There has been quite a bit of talk that it's no longer a fair contest between bat and ball on the back of this result/score. Jimmy Anderson was saying on TMS yesterday that he didn't think that there was anything on offer for the bowlers with them bowling good balls that are getting smashed because the pitch and ball is offering nothing. He also made the point that when he was a kid going to games he would come away remembering and talking about one great boundary/ball/catch but with there being so many boundaries everything just blurred into on. I think he's probably got a point and yesterday's game certainly was anything but a nail biter, but I can't see the ICC wanting to do much to bring scores down. Superficially people want to see the ball being hit for six or four as much as possible first and foremost and the authorities will want to do as much as possible to keep people coming through the gates.

Spoilers man ffs I wasn't talking about the jibes at me by the way. I was talking about how there's so many people get wound up about spoilers these days. Most of what people complain about aren't spoilers at all. Every synopsis or trailer would be a spoiler the way some people go on. -

That's the premise of the whole film. Generally people whinging about spoilers is reaching ridiculous levels these days. -

Aye the argument for Rondon is that he could do better in a better team (an argument you could use for any player really) but we aren't really that. We're certainly not very likely to create a boat load of chances for him. He's certainly not a bad player but it just shows you're not going to get a great deal for our transfer record if we're spending on English based players. -
Well he's got us to being number one ODI team and I think his main remit was to try and win the world cup. So I can't see him being ditched as coach for the white ball teams. It's possible that a series defeat to India might force them to look at splitting the role between red and white ball teams which I think could be the way forward. I think it probably will happen come the end of his contract regardless.

The wickets we threw away were appalling. Scotland did well and deserved it but far too often they didn't have to get our players out. What Hales was doing running Root out I'll never know and Ali was so stupid playing that shot after him and Plunkett had basically won the match in the previous over.
