  1. Great start to his test career for Ben Foakes this morning. Shame the top order batsmen were giving their wickets away again!
  2. Thought we played quite well in the second half. The crowd responded to what seemed like increased effort and the players responded to the crowd a looked a little more confident. After a dreadful first half Diame remembered how to play football and Ki and Schar both looked pretty good. Its a massive win for us and hopefully we can take some confidence away from it because although it’s clear for all to see that we have a weak team, it’s the confidence that’s been really lacking recently.
  3. I don't doubt there will have been some nudging him in the direction of saying something positive about the fat prick but I do actually think he will have just wanted to try and put out some positivity. I'm not going to have a pop at him for that. Especially as he has shown that he does give a fuck about the club.
  4. I'd bet money we won't. Unless the backlash against him trying to be positive gets way out of control.
  5. Watford have a good away record this season and we've struggled against them for years. 2-0 to us.
  6. It's only a one year extension on what he already had so I'd say it's an attempt to make sure we don't lose in him January but also ensure we can get decent money for him after relegation.
  7. I think quite a few people would have enjoyed a pint or two if had been Ashley. And I dread to think what our fan base would come accross like if they were interviewed. I have no doubt quite a lot of people would find it difficult to express anything other than joy at his passing.
  8. Haha my mate just text me to ask whether they were going to try it again. Pemberton and Shearsmith are genius.
  9. Bohemian Rhapsody. Maybe it was just the songs and the excellent lead performance that carried it but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
  10. There is also the question of how a boycott would effect the team. The Milan one wasn't when they were looking in real danger of getting relegated. We are in a position where we need points and soon. Whilst I understand the calls to boycott, the team need all the help they can get at the moment.
  11. Apostle. Fucking weird. I'm told it's supposed to be a horror but I can't confirm pr deny that after watching it.
  12. I'm at Ascot on Saturday so I'm hoping my not watching a match for the first time in years will help spark our revival.
  13. Can we have less of talking sense in this forum please.
  14. Bad Times At The El Royale. Totally my kind of fllm, a bit Tarrantino and a bit Film Noir with one of the greatest actors of the last 30 years in Bridges and an excellent soundtrack. A little bit too long perhaps, and they didn't really make the most of Thor's character but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
  15. Mint that. That was my first ever away game and I must admit I'd pretty much forgotten all of it. I had it in my mind that we had went one up. As soon as I saw the move starting for Hendrie's goal I remembered that though and the Bessant's tip onto the bar and Mira milking it in front of their fans both came flooding back when I watch them. Most of all I remember shitting myself walking through Stanley Park after the game with my dad. Both sets of fans were pulling out knives and bottles to go at each other. Seem to remember our lot came out of it on top although that might be rose coloured glasses on my part.
  16. A Star Is Born. Well made with two strong performances from the leads, but there are some shit songs from Gaga (can't knock her voice mind) and overall it's a bit too much of chick flick for my tastes.
  17. Fair enough, IMDB has him as playing that role. Glad it's not the case. I can't really see The Rock playing a role in anything to with BTILC still but I do quite like him so we'll see how it goes.
  18. Never watched Central Intelligence but I do like Tango and Cash, particularly the bit where the couple fucking in a car just pop up out of nowhere during a fight/chase sequence for no reason other than to get some tits into the film. They'd never get away with that now and it's not an improvement in cinema. I can't stand Kevin Hart so that put me off Central Intelligence. I watched the first Expendables and it was ok but didn't make me want to watch the rest. Fast and Furious films are terrible. I was forced to watch them with the ex and until the Rock showed up I couldn't see why they were getting made at all. When he turned up they turned into something else (ie there was a plot, however slim) and I was reasonably entertained by that one. Not enough to watch any further ones when I didn't have someone else forcing me to go. Skyscraper is the best action film I've seen in ages. Don't get me wrong, Venom wasn't great and there have been numerous Marvel films that are much better and I dare say I would have had higher expectations if Marvel had made it in a similar vein to Deadpool. But if Marvel had made it like Black Panther, I probably would have enjoyed it less. Incidentally since we've mentioned films with The Rock, apparently he is going to play Jack Burton in a remake of Big Trouble In Little China. I'm prepared to say now that this one of the worst idea's I've heard and it will be fucking terrible.
  19. . Anyone watched Big Mouth? I just watched the second episode last night it's very funny.
  20. Exactly what Ayatollah said. Most of the most polished music in the world has very little interest to me and personally I find that in a lot of cases action films made in the 80's and 90's are, while a bit clunky in places, far more enjoyable to watch than better put together movies that are being released these days.
  21. Killing Eve seems quite good two episodes in.
  22. Antman & The Wasp. Quite good fun. Operation Finale. Interesting story of how Israeli agents captured Adolph Eichmann in Argentina and managed to get him out of the country as a drunk flight attendant.
