I think the copy I watched might have been worse than I thought. I suspected there was something missing from where he got his son. I'd read he adopted him but I think the scene that explains it was missing. I'll have to try and download it myself at some point. -

What about it did you think was mint? I don't feel the need for every film I watch to be a Die Hard type action film (Paris Texas is one of my favourite films and there is no action what so ever) but I just felt nothing really was going on at all and Day Lewis' character didn't really seem to evolve at all. I was expecting so much from it too which is probably why I feel so let down by it. -

I love the bloke, but he IS a schizophrenic Mr Man (Mr Shouty/Mr Quiet). Mr Act everyone else off the screen imo "I don't know how the fuck you knew that ring was a fugasi" Pacino is one of the greatest actors ever but he does have a tendancy to go over the top (more and more as he's got older). Compare his performances in the likes of The Godfather, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Glengarry Glenross, Insomnia to his roles in Heat or Scent Of A Woman. I'm still not saying he was anywhere near bad in those later films but I do feel he could have done with being reigned in more by the directors. Daniel Day Lewis I feel is similar in Gangs of New York and There Will Be Blood. Again not poor by any stretch, just not subtle. -

There Will Be Blood - Very disapointing tbh. Seemed to be a lot about nothing, I kept waiting for more tension building between Day Lewis and Paul Dano (who I thought was excellent) but not much seemed to happen. I'm not convinced with Daniel Day Lewis either, he seems to overact in the same way Pacino does at his worst. I will admit to it being a fairly poor copy though so I think I will try and give it another chance when it comes out on dvd. -
Managed to sort this by setting the ipod as drive w. Apparently the laptop was getting confused with drive letters (I think either because of me having plugged a hard drive in as well as the ipod at one point or because of a problem with the latest ituns) so I just needed to assign a specific letter. It's worked fine since.

It's what used to be Heartbreak Soup on the corner just accros from the court. Very visable to drivers but generally the traffic on the quayside means the speed you would be going at past it would make it little danger.

I didn't think it was remotely frightening either but then again I can't think of another vampire film that is. Quite enjoyed it though and I'm keen to see Day Watch. -
should keegan get the sack if we go down?

Many people might level the criticism on Keegan that he hasn't won anything as a manager but no one can fault his record of getting teams promoted and re establishing them in the premier league. Therefor I think we would be mad to get rid of him at that stage even if there were doubts about how far he could take us after that, especially as it would take about the duration of his contract to get us back to a stage where we could think about looking to challenge again. Hopefully this will all be irrelevant when we stay up but I can't say I'm confident of that at the minute. -
Surely Im not the only one who thinks the complete opposite of this statement? I thought he was wank and a not the good type of wank, you know, the sort when you've been without for ages and finally get a spare half hour with a pirate copy of Jennas Juggs IV but the really bad, 3 in the morning, beer wearing off and you're with an ugly bird and you cant get it up so need to crack one off just to get out of there kind of wank. I didn't think he did too bad and was more of a goal threat (with his two efforts) than he has been for the rest of the season. Had Owen put his chances away then I think most would have been pretty happy with the support role that Smith played. That said I think we will be much more of a threat with Martins up there with Owen. Can't fault the lads effort but loads of shit players put effort in and it's simply not enough at this level.

Must play Martins now like. He scored goals in a crap team last season so hopefully can do the same again before the season is out. Enrique has to play leftback. He's no world beater but he's considerably better than any of our other options and it also allows N'Zogbia to play further forward. Either in the centre for Barton or on the left for Duff is fine by me because neither of them deserve a game and his pace combined with Martins could be key in some of the games we have ahead. Overall though I thought we clearly deserved to win, we made them look worse than us for a lot of the game with only really Friedel and Bentley looking good for them. Their goal should have been disallowed for the blatent obstruction on N'Zogbia right in front of the ref but the worrying thing we are getting no luck at all and that is what tends to happen to the teams that get relegated!

Fulham haven't won an away game for something like 17 months and the makems haven't won an away game all season (and have only just managed to pull out of a twelve game losing streak against Derby) so I fully expect us to lose those games like we always seem to manage to do. Seriously though I'm not confident about picking up points against anyone now (despite a pretty decent performance on Saturday) as the players are so short of confidence it's painfull. The best thing I can think of is like someone else said I can see a few teams stopping up with quite a bit less than 40 points this season and I just hope we can at least do that. Getting Barton out of the team and playing a striker who is some sort of goal threat alongside Owen will be out best bet of achieving it imo.

I thought that was hilarious too but one thing it does show is that to foreign players we are still seen as one of the biggest clubs in the league despite finishing in poor league positions since Robsons departure. He mentions us ahead of teams like Portsmouth, Villa and West Ham despite the fact that they are way above us and Everton and Blackburn don't even get a mention. If we do stay up (and I'm not incredibly confident of that at the minute), I think we will still be able to attract quality players. Maybe not ones who could push us to challenging for honours but good enough to vastly improve us over the shite we have at the moment.

To be honest there's nothing wrong with the ipod as far as I can see. It plays alright and connects fine to my other laptop it's just I haven't got internet connection at home at the minute so I have been downloading some songs from Itunes at work that I wan't to put on. I can stick them on an external hard drive and them put them on to the other computer and then on to my ipod. It's just a bit of a fuck on so I was hoping there was a simple way to sort out the laptop.

Does that work with vista?

Not sure formatting my works laptop is a viable option but cheers for the info Craig.

TBH I forgot about Bernard but yes when he was here first time he did well for us.

"Oh god no!" Class film Did nowt at all for me like. I prefered Sunshine which I watched last night even though the end seemed very muddled. I struggled to follow what the fuck was going on and it was only the last scene (which seemed to me like it had been stuck on to try and explain things) which sort of cleared it up. -
Can't believe we're onto page two without anyone mentioning Rob Macdonald. Signed from a good Dutch team with everyone thinking he must be top notch playing abroad and he was fucking gash of the highest order. Very similar to Fumaca in that he should never have been allowed anywhere near a football pitch to do anything other than water it because he was nothing like a footballer of any level. Pat Heard was fucking awfull too like. One of my earliest football memories is wondering how someone that was worse than me (at about nine) could be getting a game for us.

I got a new 80gb ipod for Christmas after my last one was goosed and it has worked perfectly until yesterday when I tried to plug it into my laptop at work and got the message the itunes had detected an ipod in recovery mode and I would have to restore it before it could be used. Since I've got about 10k songs on it from various sources I don't really fancy going through the hassle of doing a restore and sticking all of those songs back on. I tried restarting the ipod and reconnecting it but the same message came up (the ipod is still working fine away from the laptop) so I took it home with me and connected it to my computer there and it worked no problem. I assumed this would have sorted it but I've tried it again on the laptop this morning and the same message is coming up. I've even tried reinstalling itunes but it's having no effect. Anyone got any ideas?

For me I can't think of a leftback that we've had since Beresford that's looked better than him (not much competition there I know) so I can't understand why we aren't playing him. On the radio they were saying he was having a good game against Arsenal in the cup until his injury so it's not as if Keegan doesn't have anything to go on. I can only assume that there are some problems behind the scenes.

The Wicker Man Was that supposed to be a horror? Most 70's horror films had a fantastic atmosphere about them but this didn't manage that at all for me. Some nice tits though.
