First goal came because we missed out getting the ball out of the danger zone comfortably but instead let them press. Second goal came from us losing possession easily for them then getting a corner. We basically invited them to score by trying to see out the game without the necessary effort and concentration. If you let this happen at home not just once but twice then you do deserve it.

For all those chances only few were really threatening and noteworthy whatever expected shite may say otherwise. We had some good spells but always let Spurs get back into the game and dictate it. Them scoring when they found some passion and threw things up front wasn’t a huge surprise.

If we were only half as good at shooting with our feet than into our feet we would sit at the top end of the table. We were poor over large periods of the game and a draw is probably a fair result in the end.

What a waste.

I am rarely getting angry about things, but the sale of Anderson in one of those few things. It was a tragic thing then and has become a stupid thing now. The talent has been obvious and I think he would have got enough game time with us to further his development. Not being able to cash in on other player will be an epic failure.

Nah, the way players are just rated on single performances , over the top criticism and not coping with poor performances is just fickle.

I am actually not really bothered. Our performances have been shit and the fickle reaction from fans even worse. Howe will sort it out but until then I will mostly just care about matches without giving a fuck about the noise. I might watch the replay of the cup final once and again though.

The tactics of the 1930s sowing distrust are in full flow again with people being increasingly worse off economically. People are looking for simple solutions and easy scape goats. The likes of Farage, Le Pen, Trump, Reform, AfD are unrealistic but easy solutions. It’s nothing you can counter by offering reason. With newspapers, state funded broadcasters and other traditional media outlets struggling financially themselves or fearing the wrath of right wing governments they stay silent for the sake of their own existence until it will bite them in their own arse.
