I would too but this is more than just the sale of a player, its a statement of intent (or rather confirmation of lack of it). The fact we're willing to sell our most valuable home grown talent at the first sign of a big offer shows we have no ambition at all. Discussed that today at work. Clearly didnt watch the match and just picked a number out of a bucket. As for Batty, right player in right team. Used to get stick at the time for passing backwards a lot but we were kinda spoiled with every other ball going forward. Now it would be seen as keeping the ball. For us now, Tiote came in and the jump in quality and effectiveness over Butt/Smith in that role was huge. Most effective player in that role since Batty. Laws of the game have clamped down now as well so Tiote would likely get away with more in Batty's side.

You have to aim for 40 points like. I said we need to keep an avg of 1 point per game (yeah I know that gives you 38). Kinda what I've been going off to see how we were. At the min, P20 so need at least 20 pts. Rings true so far like. Cant see Liverpool even in the scrap let alone go down. That said, you could see teams like Everton, West Brom, Villa turning their season around a little, dragging teams like Blackpool & Liverpool (and us) into it. I reckon relegation is between the current bottom 5 though.

Used to sit alone when I first got my ticket. Had a young kid to my left who said nowt and a bloke to my right who told jokes all game. Was good craic though. Canny bunch all around us now. No idea why Best was on rather than Ranger. done fuck all apart from hurt himself due to shock of being on goal. Jonas and Routledge were both excellent at beating their man/men and getting down the wing, both showed good pace and both fail when it comes to putting a ball in. Shame as if they could both cross they could be lethal.

Dont get all the positivity going into this game. I remember how bullish they were going in to ours. Fact is, we've been pretty inconsistent of late and they have some decent home form. Only thing I'd say going for us is that if we are up for us, we can be a hard side.

This is the point me and te lad I go to the match make. If FMA could only see that the squad just needs a little investment. 3-4 decent players and we could cement a top half side. But we need depth so we cant keep shipping decent players out. Fair enough get rid of Campbell, Best & Perch etc.
