Not trying to be clever, but there's a greatest hits. If you start with that and then find out what album the tracks you enjoy are from you might have luck picking the albums you enjoy. Personally I'd go with Foo Fighters (first one), The Colour & The Shape and There Is Nothing Left To Lose.

I prefer their first three albums, but some people swear by the newer stuff. Just give them a search on you tube. Should be plenty of stuff on there.

Hand on heart I'd never heard of it. I had a look through the website and apparently they have one of their Family Rooms at St Oswalds.
