Aye, Cabaye is ok apparently. I know it was a shitter of a tackle but his reaction was poor imo, a more trigger happy ref might have carded him. I thought the tackle was clumsy as fuck from a Championship standard player really, but I think he stayed on the pitch because of the shit Foy got last week for sending Kompany off.

I think it's fair to describe yesterdays game as 'ugly.' I'll take winning ugly though. The only critiscism I have, and it's not really, is the obsession sometimes to shut up shop quite early (bringing on Perch for instance). It's not that I want attacking football all the time, it's just historically we're shit at soaking up pressure. It does seem to work though, it's just not something that sits comfortable with me. A plus to counter that though is that we actually had a good spell of just keeping hold of the ball, again something historically we've not been great at. Still, 4 points from safety!

Didn't do too bad over Christmas when you consider than not only did I have the usual eating like a pig, but also a new baby to deal with. Got a few runs in here and there and then last week got back into proper running. Had a really enjoyable longer run Saturday and going to get out tonight as well. Finding that I have to just time it for when the bairn gets her head down for an hour or two.

We had a couple of lads live a few doors away who used to make a right racket till the early hours of the morning. Luckily we could only hear them from our bathroom so it didn't affect us too much. The point is, the noise did stop as living other side of them was a rather large and hard looking bastard who brayed on their door one night and told them very calmly but very clearly that if it continued he would kick seven shades of shit out of them. What I'm trying to say is, does she have any hard neighbours in the street?

I became a dad a few days before Christmas. Been with the Mrs over 10 years now and it's a conversation we had on numerous occasions, always saying that it wasn't the right time and we still wanted to do stuff we wouldn't be able to with kids. Then at the start of last year we decided we'd try for a few months to conceive then if it didn't happen then it was never going to happen. We never thought we'd be parent material like but we're doing alreet we think! A good support network helps like, although even though we're both very early 30s none of our mates have kids. One of my Mrs mates is pregnant, but we're the first to have a bairn and it's been interesting to see how they react.

My mother in law is spot on as well. To be honest, my own mother tends to get on my tits more.

The goals (to me anyway) seem to be buy cheap sell high. If he sold Tiote for £25m he'd be making a massive profit, which is what it's all about. Yeah, I also heard nowt but horror stories from the ferry. Loads of people I know went on the ferry once due to it being cheap and always came back saying 'never again.' I think Krul will be sold as well. After every save he made against Chelsea me and mate kept saying 'champion, add on another million.' Pretty sad when you've accepted that any player who looks good will not have a team built around him but actually be flogged to the highest bidder asap.

On the train coming back from that there London. We're already been told we're going to be delayed due to the winds and now we're stuck outside the Emirates as someone has just chucked themselves under another train. GREAT.

We're having 'nibbles' in the office this year on the last day of work which will be as shit as it sounds. Not arsed this year anyway as I'm off the drink and on baby watch and should (touch wood) be on paternity leave for the exciting nibbles event anyway, thank fuck.

We do it and it's usually a cringeworthy attempt at team building that falls on it's arse. To make it even worse this year is that we drew it last week but the knacker who organised it forgot to put all the names in, so they got everyone to put the names back in the hat a couple of days later and we're allegedly going to have a redraw.

I don't get the he's a confidence player stuff and that it being the crowds fault that he's shite. I'm usually the first to have a go at people jumping on a players back (the treatment of Shola is still way ott for me like) but I think he's been left alone pretty much all season as we've been getting results. It's only the last couple of games he's been getting some stick. mainly due to the fact we're told he's shit of a stick yet he refuses to move any faster that a jog. Has he had hamstring problems in the past? I can only think that part of it is that he's shit scared to sprint as he thinks something will ping.
