A sunny Bday in PR.....that is a rare one. Cloudiest place in Canada apparently, but beautiful as well the north coast of BC is a must see and the ferry from Port Hardy to Rupert is one of the best ways to see it. As long as we're sharing perfect days, i'll put my two cents in. I had won a day of heli-skiing at Mike Weigle's and used it on my 27th birthday, at the time I only had my learners licence so my aussie roommate had to be my licenced accomplice for the day. We left at 3 am to drive the 3hrs north to Blue River BC, it had been snowing all night and was, to use a ski-bum term, 'puking' down snow the whole way there. Needless to say my excitement was at a fevered pitch by the time we arrived because there appeared to be well over 2 ft of snow on the side of the road (the official MW snow report said 93 cm to be exact). I got to the front desk and told them i was there for a day of skiing and they asked what sort of skier i was i replied 'expert' and the woman told me ther were no expert groups scheduled for the day and my face must have fell because she said that there was a private group from austria that had one available seat. after a quick phone call i was in on the austrian heli for the day. it could not have had a better day of skiing, i have never skied in that much snow before or after that day, when we got back to the resort at 8 pm my other roomies had planned a surprise party which was going full bore by the time we got there, and i proceeded to get drunk while answering the constant question from everyone "you went heliskiing on your birthday? have you everyhad a better day?......no, no i hadn't. glad to hear you had 'perfeck' day TR....hope you have many more like it in the future.

Allahu Akbar overt maturity on display.... not really, its just pointless responding to you. oh the ironing.....

good post, fairly obvious comments mate, its a shame some don't see it that way. The more we allow in, the more we drift as a country towards adopting the anti-British cultures of the changing population with them. I'm that simple really. FYP....allah ahkbar indeed...

The changes will give us the highest fees for public universities in the industrialised world it costs $25000/year in the states to go to a reputable institution.

Around £3,750 a year I think holy crap!!! i thought my fees were high when i was in school. what sort of student assistance is there? can you get student loans? and if so what sort of interest does the government give?
-
how much were tuition fees prior to the measures they are proposing?

I see, you think I'm over 50 so I should teach you all my wisdom, is that it ? No, I think you have been around long enough that you should be able to frame your opinions in reasoned and reasonable statements, rather than project a stand point onto people who disagree with you as if you're a kid in a school yard. fwiw I don't want any British soldier to die, and I'd be delighted if every terrorist was wiped from the face of the planet with great vengeance and furious anger. However, I know that's not likely. And I know that violence begets violence, imposing ones beliefs creates an angry reaction. Whether it be calls for the sacking of a poppy wearing man, or wading into another country and presuming you can solve millennia of tribal conflicts by building a road. The point is Leazes you have no idea what my arguments actually are. You spend every post creating exaggerated positions for others. I genuinely have struggled to understand what this garbled sentence means, but I think you're suggesting that your statements are fair and balanced, and by my asking you to refrain from fabricating other peoples opinions I show myself to be immature? If this is the case I'd suggest you re-read you conversations on here as that's simply not a true reflection of the discussions. You're confused, the fact you think people on here want to hug-a-Hussain is not the label I was talking about. It's your need to call people "naive", "do-gooder", etc. You do realise that you slate the Americans on here more so than most other posters do, right? Oh and I think the attacks you perceive, aren't actually attacks on the West, nor on the US. I think they're disappointment and frustration, we're supposed to be the civilised lot, yet the people acting in our name commit acts of selfish aggression and condone torture when it suits them, decrying it when it does not. This doesn't mean I think we should warmly embrace the fanatics and zealots, but we sure as shit shouldn't stoop to their level. My over-riding point is that you simply have to stop creating a preposterous opinion for the people who disagree with your view because it makes you look addled and pathetic. no response Leazes? to be honest, I'm bored trying to educate some of you lot now as to the ways of the world. You asked for my "56 year old view" [like you have done re football issues] and you've got it. And just like you were in the football issues, you're wrong. What?! When have I asked for you 56yr old view? Show me ONE post where I've done that and I'll buy you a cheeseburger. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you've ignored the entirety of my post and yet again fabricated an argument instead. The irony is not lost on me. Pssst repetitive and boring. People might block you mind So no response then. No surprise.

12.28 stone (what the fuck is a stone anyway, needed my conversion software for that 172#)...6ft built a climbing wall at a buddy's place, climbs up the stairwell out of the basement, about 20 ft of climbing which isn't bad just trying to stay fit until the hill opens and then I'll be getting all the exercise I can handle, lots of ski touring opportunities adjacent to the local hill. any of you have XC skis? they are always a good alternative for cardio when there is snow on the ground, here everyone has a set, but by the sounds of it snow is more of an anomally over there so XC skis would be as well.
