Some nice suits but it doesnt look like they hire out. I might just have to take the plunge and buy one. Burtons do some nice suits for a reasonable price I'm getting married in a few months and my fiance has gone with Suits You/Youngs. They definitely hire out (we went with the five suits, fifth free deal too)and the suits are really nice. Good luck with it all...it's doing my head in at this point And congrats from me too!

This. Except stabbing him in the eyes wouldn't be good enough.

No. No, no, no, no, no. I doubt it's true, but if it is, then suicide really would become an interesting option. -
Congratulations! They got announced quickly too...my uni made me wait til July 4th for my degree results and I could barely function by the last couple of weeks!

Wonder why the Darlington game is an early kick off. I work til 1pm most Saturdays, and while my boss lets me swap around for aways a lot of the time, I doubt he'd do it for a friendly-could have done both if it was 3pm

Miss Sheff U away, Forest away and Scunthorpe away when I'm on my honeymoon in October. Brilliant.

Fucking hell man, perspective required. Fair enough, I admit I'm prone to slight exaggeration But honestly, I am scared every time I turn the computer on in the morning. I've given up on feeling anything close to positivity about next season (trip to Blackpool aside, obviously ).

It's getting to the point now where I'm dreading getting up in the morning because I'm so scared at whatever new stories might come out that day. I am in absolutely no doubt that Ashley is going to squeeze any penny he can out of the club before he leaves and he doesn't care which players are sold, as long as he gets that cash in his pocket.

My dad lives in Kazakhstan and reckons it's a great place. My dad is a bit mental, mind.
-
I spent a day there last year but most of that was just spent walking around and getting a feel for the place. Really loved it there though-I've been to most of the major cities in the States, and it's probably my favourite after New York and San Francisco. Really attractive, with a very friendly atmosphere. As for things to do...the Freedom Trail is touristy but it's great for getting to see all of the best parts of the city. Also went to Harvard on the metro-not much to do there, but again, it's a nice place to walk around. Food-wise, again it's very tourist-focused but the market at Fanueil Hall was great. Cheap, tasty and loads of choice.

Mike Ashley puts Newcastle on the block

This night just gets better and better. Going to focus on the fact that it's a NOTW story and choose to believe it's bullshit, for now. -
Mike Ashley puts Newcastle on the block

He must have looked at Shearers plans and realised he would have to be passionately commited to the club to back them - its just more shite and i can't see who will buy us - the revenue streams are fucked and without immediate direction were are gonna be left with a bunch of shite players sitting on big contracts - what a fuckin arsehole Exactly. 'Cheap' price or not, no-one is going to look at this club now and think it's a brilliant business opportunity. TV money gone, huge wage bills, and I assume Ashley is going to be asking for his loan of £100 million back fairly quickly too. And just in the short term, this dramatically screws up our summer at a time when we most needed to be professional and well-managed. This could get really, really bad. -
My favourite part when we did it was when the tour guide took me to my own seat as part of the tour...

Born in Newcastle, and just always have. I can't recall ever actually making a choice, it was just something I did. My dad, despite being from Newcastle, has always supported Manchester City and I think he hoped I would do the same-he tried to push me in that direction as much as possible, but I never once had the urge to follow them. NUFC were just always my club. With my dad being so awkward and my mam hating football (and being a girl, having no friends willing to go to the match with me), I didn't even get to go to a match until I was 14 and it used to kill me. For two years after that though, I rarely missed a match and then I finally bought my own season ticket when I was 16...still one of the best days of my life!

Man Utd have been completely outclassed...really, really hope Barca get a third because they totally deserve it.

One of the only things getting me through relegation is the thought of all my holidays this year. Already been to Vegas, San Francisco and Copenhagen, off to France in August and then October sees me in the Far East and Australia for four weeks on my honeymoon. Fancying the idea of a weekend trip to Germany in December too, although I think the husband-to-be is a bit sick of indulging me at this point
-
I'm 25 and I'm going with Barca. Already explained one of my reasons, but other than that, I really do just hate Man U, their manager and their players.
-
Is she geordie? No, lives near Warrington. She's spent the week practically claiming that their game tonight is more stressful than ours was at the weekend though, hence me not making a massive effort to back Man U tonight.
-
My best friend is in Rome for the match and I still want Barca to win. I'm a terrible friend...
-
Been there a few times, and to be honest I wouldn't worry about the rooms. If you're in CP, they're not likely to be terrible and you really shouldn't be spending too much time in the room anyway. I will say you're staying on the best part of the Strip-go too far north or south and everything seems a bit more dated and shabby. And you have the Cheesecake Factory in the mall at Caesar's Palace (that might be a really girly thing to suggest, but it's cheap, HUGE portions and any cheesecake you can imagine...keeps me happy!).

As we were driving away from the ground, the abuse and fans lined up to have a go at us was even worse than at the SoS. We even got egged a couple of times...I'm still in utter confusion as to why they cared so much. Honestly, if Villa had come to St James and gotten relegated, I couldn't have cared less. Very strange.
-
This is what I'm choosing to believe.
-
If Shearer stays on, there's no way in hell he's giving Shola the number 9 shirt. If JFK comes back though...
-
I think we might sell out the first home game (or close to), then gradually drop to around 35,000 as the season goes on. I'm keeping my season ticket and no-one else I know is getting rid of theirs. I doubt they'll close sections of the ground though-it'll just be like Cup games with empty sections dotted around everywhere, so if anything the atmosphere could be worse than at times this season. Really looking forward to a lot of the away games though, and I think with the novelty of some different grounds (and hopefully a few wins), there could be some class days ahead in terms of atmosphere and actually enjoying going to the match again.

Realistically, we do need to keep a couple of the bigger players at the club, whether that's on their Premiership contracts or not. Losing Owen and Viduka will take a lot of the wage bill and I do think Duff could do a good job in the Championship. As much as he frustrates me, I've never found a reason to doubt his effort and commitment so he wouldn't be the worst person to keep hold of.
