The qualifications section on the application form must be a laugh.

I was in a remote restaurant high up in the Jura and it was hoying snow down. All a bit too exciting hence the over indulgence. I ate far too much cheese for one person, pure greed.
-
I had a cheese fondu and Raclette last night, washed down with schnapps and a barrel of wine. Couldn't sleep as inwas too full and was farting a burping like a tramp all day today. Ordinarily it would have been fine but I spent the whole day in the same room with my team. Had to excuse myself about 10 times, the majority of which were just to unleash monster farts. I've seen 100 metre sprints go off quicker than these bad boys. On salads till the weekend

Called that peak a quarter early, didnt make much off holding them as you can imagine, volume i had was low and i will be taxed on it due to vehicle they were in. I expect the stock to grow again this year, there is a lot better sentiment in equities since we didnt fall off the fiscal cliff. I assume the earnings call at the end of the month will boost investors too.

Aye, these people on twitter who cant let an argument go eh?

Do an expected value analysis of his income streams but weight them by the probability of relegation. If the difference in probability of relegation between us and QPR is x% then the net present value of his NUFC income is > than the QPR one (probably). All you need to do is persuade him that there is a big enough difference
-
So what happens if he signs for QPR, doesnt score that many goals and they go down/ The bit of the equation which Harry didnt mention. In this case, all you need to do to Remy is persuade him that in this scenario, he skulks back to France and gets a worse deal than he's on now. In the case they go down, it would be unlikely he will have made that much of an impression (no more than Ba at West Ham anyway). If he values certainty over gambling then signing for QPR even with 90k a week isnt necessarily the right choice. Any deal on offer in the summer is likely to be worse than he is on now, based on the fact that if he is in that position, it didnt go well.
-
We dont know but its highly unlikely he'll be worth that, lets hope Fernandes's pants are once again around his ankles.
-
Cheers Brock, looks like we'll have no choice but to match them then, Cisse up top by himself. Should be a tight game.
-
Agreed, nothing cringeworthy about it. There's an enormous amount of rubbish spouted about what managers say and what players need to hear in private/public. 'He needs an arm around the shoulder' etc tends to be nonsense as its only sometimes true. People are more complex than that.
-
One of the biggest games for the club in a while, an absolute must win. Don't care how we do it. If we get him in, then Remy up top with Cissé at home is probably the easiest way to give his debut.. How do Reading normally set themselves up away from home?

A change is as good as a rest, as they say.

Watching the ITV drama about the LA actor's agent who travels through time to open a department store in London. Quite bizarre viewing for me. I would have preferred to have watched The Paradise which was on BBC1 last year but missed that. That was an adaptation of Emile Zola's Au Bonheur des Dames which is set in Le Bon Marché in Paris. The interesting bit of this post, if you're still reading, was the BBC adaptation was set in Bainbridges in Newcastle. That's because it is widely believed that Le Bon Marché was the world's first department store. This is not true, the world's first store of that kind was Bainbridges in Newcastle which opened in 1838. Hence the inspiration for the adaptation. To be honest, I'm not recommending either of them as I've not seen the Paradise and the one with Ari Gold is a bit shite.

Ever since i was a little lad, Celtic were my Scottish team. Paternal grand-parents. Note to Tom; the axiom is that there is no 'transitivity' in football. If A beats B and B beats C, it does not hold that A will beat C. -

In both your worlds it seems tactics are binary, either 'go for it' or 'defend'. The fact that CT thinks we should go to Norwich and set ourselves up the same way we did at Old Trafford shows very little comprehension of the different propositions these clubs and grounds present. At OT, if we sit back and defend do you think Man U will have come up against that before? What? A team going to OT and sitting back and defending? That would have Fergie scratching his head! You go to OT there's a good chance you will lose, if you sit back there's a good chance you'll lose, if you have a severely weakened first team that doesn't play together the chances of maintaining 90 minutes of organisation are slim. Therefore, the manager's decision to send out an inexperienced side to attack Man U was an excellent decision that nearly paid off. We could have just as easily lost that game 5-0. So why not do the same against Norwich? Well it pains me to have to even point this out but Norwich, funnily enough, are set up to beat teams who come at them because, surprise sur-fucking-prise, that's what 99% of teams do to them, given their stature and players. This tactic can lead easily to defeat for visiting teams as witnessed by their impressive results. The subtleties of management don't end there but maybe that will give you something to think about.

Also no Coloccini, Cissé playing shite and Ferguson started. Cabaye was carrying his knock too.
-
What the fuck are you on about? Were we adventurous or cautious against Man U and Arsenal?
-
He had a shot on target.

Which games are you referring to?

Jon Walters had a belter for Stoke today

What does that mean? Pardew was not aware we were bidding for the player? He doesn't 'do' transfers so 'over his head' must mean he was the only person with at least a passing interest in us who didn't know we were in for him.
