Bit rich coming from Gemmill that like.

Love a nip of the old Japanese. That Nikka is decent too, had some fairly expensive Yamazakis which were great.

Favourite moment of the commentary on BT sport was when Liverpool's form this year was blamed on 'broken hearts' from not winning the title

If getting up too early and feeling like you need to fill your day is an issue then quite simply stop all forms of contraception and you'll be cured within the year.

I hate RT mainly because whenever people send me links to their footage (happens more often than I'd like) I have to ask that person if they realise that its the propaganda arm of the KGB. People who buy the RT narrative are just as ignorant as people who buy Fox's All media are lying to us except when it's state controlled Russian TV. Aye

Best horror movie poster of the thread.

Take some aspirin or better still get some lovenox. Not sure how you get the latter in the UK but get it privately, cost you maybe £30 and you inject yourself in the leg. You need a prophylactic dose and you probably need to treat yourself for a few days before. I can't remember all the details but if you've had a DVT and want to fly, that's how you minimize any risk of recurrence.

I could have done but I just sellotaped a Kleenex to my face and wrapped my hands in hygiene wipes. Seemed to do the trick. Apparently someone just had a fever on the plane, I assume they had come from Africa or had been exposed. All a bit alarming anyway, got to get back on a plane tomorrow too.

The suntan and the beard aren't helping either.

It's my weapon of choice tbh. I'm just watching a YouTube on how to fly a plane in case I need to take the controls on the way home.

At Terminal 2 in Madrid. There is an Air France flight on Tarmac surrounded by ambulances and men in protective suits. I'm boarding an Air France flight in 30 minutes. Not the best scenario I've ever been in.

@@Ant Had dinner in Zanetti and Cambiasso's restaurant in Milan tonight. Lush food, proper lovely decor and tellys with all the international matches on Was thinking you'd have loved it, the entrance had a collection of boots in glass cases from the greatest players of the last 20 years. Maldini's were the star attraction for me but were hidden in the corner for obvious reasons. Botinero.it

You get a lot of good beers in Vienna, especially Czech stuff from over the border. They have a lot of beerhalls and 'brewpubs'. Last time i was there, we ate and drank in the 1516 Brewing Company which does great beers and massive platters of slow cooked ribs etc. Its a nice part of town too. An afternoon walking round the Schonbrunn Palace with your lass would be nice too. Think the christmas markets start towards the end of November, so would be best to wait to then iyam. Not a bad choice tbh.

Its members only before midnight so i've never even considered going but Lynch's bar/club in Paris called Silencio is meant to be very groovy. Based on the club in Mulholland Drive. "They say that when men go into their 50s they dream of building gigantic towers to prove their virility. I have directed films, composed music, made all sorts of objects, works that had a beginning and an end. Now I want to make something solid. First, I started with painting. For the last three years I have been working in a lithographic studio in Montparnasse that Picasso and Miró used, drawing on the same stones where they painted. Then I started working on Silencio, which has taken the last two years. Looking at what we have done, I feel myself almost immortal, I have the feeling that I have coaxed out some of the atmosphere and the characters from my films, and even from my music."

Deliberate from the opposition when they play us. They close everyone down and leave Williamson as the free man knowing how shit he is.

As if man, you gullible twat.

I can get Glasto tickets quite easily. Usually VIP ones too. You want to me to ask for you?

Meenzer, now you're not pissed all the time, do you still find that Eurovision music listenable?

No knowledge. I have not given mine all the vaccines on offer from the system here (more than in UK). Not because they are risky per se but that the balance of evidence for and possible risks against just means its hardly matters either way so why bother.

"Aye never mind all that, how fucking shite is Titus?" Nah, i actually tried to explain the difference between a trial and a series of observations but started with 'its not my area of expertise and i am not qualified to comment' and then avoided actually discussing MMR and focused on the broader conceptual issues around scientific research. Then, he honestly pulled that line above because whatever had happened, he was a sound bloke.

Indeed, as i said 'probably' which was over-stating it a bit. However.... the only other plausible theory is the transmission of SIV from apes to humans during hunting. What keeps the mystery alive and the vaccine hypothesis warm (or tepid) is that SIV has been common in apes for centuries and man has been hunting and fighting them all that time (how the virus is hypothesised to have been transmitted, by bite during a hunt). Why then did suddenly in a very specific period of the 20th century did SIV decide to jump species all at once? A question that does not necessarily invoke a discussion of vaccines of course.

Vaccines probably caused AIDS so you do have to be careful with these things. Possibly the 3rd time i've mentioned this anecdote on here but i used to work for GSK (during the MMR scandal) and was once in a corporate box at SJP being asked about what did for a living. Bloke used to work for the club started asking me about the Lancet article that had just been published on Wakefield's findings. When people with no background in medicine start quoting medical research at you and asking difficult questions, it stops you in your tracks. So i asked him what his interest yes. 'My son has autism and i am suing your company' Will never ever forget the moment or the man and would never ever belittle or trample over his concerns, questions and his need to have answers. Can we say with 100% certainty that MMR does not cause Autism? I'd say no because i have a specific view on falsifiability in scientific research, i think the balance of evidence is against it being the cause (significantly against) but that should not stop enquiry and questions. An environment of ridicule for those who want to pursue the hypothesis helps no one.

Stop chinning him, he's only 5!
