  1. No they fuckin haven't Sky trying to make themselves appear "in the loop" after spending yesterday completely out of it. I heard Neil Ashton of the Daily mail earlier, he appears to be getting the inside track probably from Pardew himself or his agent and not giving sky as much as a nibble. Possibly.....
  2. Am not sure if we have either. Were ninth but I think Sissoko Is off next month. But if Fatem turns up at training next week and hasn't overdone the festive dates...
  3. "Pardew stopped being a yes-man in the end. He accepted defeat and fled" http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/11317458/Mike-Ashley-has-left-Newcastle-stagnant-and-stained-with-his-greedy-ownership-who-would-want-the-job-now.html
  4. Will Ashley pay compo to Hull whilst he can get Curbishley for nowt?...
  5. Is it beyond the realms of possibility that we could pluck a Pocchetino type appointment out of the ether? It makes the most sense for what Ashley wants to achieve. Hoddle is a good shout and he might look at our squad and think there's enough to be getting on with and a good scouting system in place, which may make him swallow his pride and give it a bash. Can't see anyone of his generation working easily with Ashley though.
  6. Well no, Ashley didn't tactically wait for Palace to sack Warnock did he? He should be on the stage if he knew what was going to happen this week. It's the same reason Ashley still owns there club, there's not a buyer out there, there was for Pardew.
  7. Tbf the only player manager who's ever been successful is Dalglish at Liverpool. Got rid of the team he inherited by buying McMahon, Venison, Barnes, Houghton and Beardsley in his first 12 months. Easier said than done, even for a club of Liverpool's status back then. By the time he came to us though football had moved on but he hadn't.
  8. Yeah purely appeals to his barrow boy instincts. It is canny funny though, I think Pardews been close to the sack (and a big-ish payoff) a few times and now someone's actually given Jabba a load of cash for him, fat fuck couldn't resist it
  9. He was being held by Coleman and the first two swings were Cisse trying to get away from the fucker. Not condoning what Cisse did third time but grabbing someone by the shirt is a free kick anywhere else on the pitch. Murphys motd comments were more over the top than a Wayne Rooney tackle.
  10. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/fabricio-coloccini-set-for-newcastle-united-job-9949277.html Fuckin hell
  11. Agreed. It's a crapshoot tbh, 50/50 iyam...
  12. It's the laws of diminishing returns though, I think Pardew may well have eventually relegated us, or done enough damage to make say next season irretreiveable. Same goes for Carr iyam. He won't go on pulling rabbits out if hats before handing to Pardew to be err Pardewed. Ashley plucks managers from the ether that none of us expect, good or bad. My feeling is that he may veer towards Europe next season after he sees how Pedro gets on.
  13. Press conference at 1315 tomorrow, who's in the chair?....
  14. Boro manager, going well like...
  15. Someone mentioned Eddie Howe.....he's got a lot of Russian money there like...
  16. How many from Chelsea do Boro gave on loan?...
  17. Not sure. As has been said the second rate coaching regime here doesn't help the long term aim i.e. Selling players on for profit. The penny may possibly drop with Ashley. Possibly.
  18. Christmas Day up until early 60s. Since then Boxing Day then the following Saturday which can be close together, then New Year's Day followed by the FA cup third round on the Saturday after that. It's hectic as fuck and blamed partly for England being shite in summer tournaments. Not sure about that.
  19. The club say they're not talking to palace about compo?....
  20. The last time bookies closed the books on Pardews future.... http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/bookies-suspend-betting-on-newcastle-boss-alan-pardew-getting-the-axe-as-graeme-souness-brands-his-position-untenable-9162708.html Winston Wolf's law applies here I think....
  21. Dinner round some friends house then round a couple of ludicrously expensive bars before heading to some other friends house party.....it could all be really good, but me and mrs PL have been banned from taking our usual Thai red bull & sang som whiskey round after causing the hostess's sister to have some sort of psychotic episode at a barbecue in the summer after a particularly potent "bucket". "Too many children will be coming"
